night sky was as black as death as we traveled on the Mugen train for our mission. I sat next to Rengoku and Tanjiro in the comfortable seats of the train. In front of Tanjiro sat a weird wooden box that sounded like it contained a sleeping person.
“Hey Tanjiro. What’s in that odd looking box?” I ask. “I’ll tell you later.” he replies. Behind us we can hear Zenitsu and Inosuke messing around. “I bet I can run faster than this train.” Inosuke proclaims. “Don’t be stupid!” Zenitsu replies as he tugs on Inosuke’s ear.
Suddenly we hear a rumbling noise and the train grows quiet. Rengoku disappears from his seat and instantly appears in the aisle in front of a demon. Just as quickly I vanish and materialize beside Rengoku drawing my blade. In front of us stands a big, bulky demon. He is covered in scars and stares menacingly at Rengoku, Tanjiro, and myself.
“Flame breathing. First form. Unknown fire!” Rengoku says as he lunges at the demon. Instantly the demon’s head is cut off with Rengoku’s flaming blade. The demon’s body disintegrates into a cloud of dust.
Zenitsu's eyes grow comically wide as his chin drops in surprise. “Ahhh!” he screams in fear.
Tanjiro looks over to me as I sheath my blade and says, “Hey? You never told me your name.”
“It’s Nensho.” I reply as we sit back down and the train quietly continues on its journey through the dark.
The door of the train opens and out walks the conductor to stamp our tickets. One by one, he stamps all of our tickets and then he exits our train car. My eyes were growing heavy and I started to fall asleep even though we were still on a mission. “Does anyone else feel tired?” I ask Taniro and Rangoku, “Or is it just me?”
I was fighting sleep when I heard Tanijiro’s reply, “Actually, I am feeling kind of sleepy too!” His voice was slurred as his head began to slump over. My world went dark as we all fell asleep.
