Sprout's Secret

Sprout smiled at his best friend. He looked so happy and amazed, the whole gang noticed Sprout smiling to himself. The thing the gang didn't know was that Sprout had a secret. One that he thought he could never tell anyone. Sprout had been keeping this secret for months and he wanted to tell someone but he just couldn't, he couldn't possibly admit this to anyone.  Sprout rushed to his sisters room, he had to tell someone and she was the only one he could trust with this big of a secret,
"Sproutie? What's wrong?" Candi could see the worried and nervous expression spread across sprouts face. Sprout took a deep breath in before he sat down beside Candi
"I need to tell you something, please don't tell anyone" Sprout mumbled hoping that Candi didn't hear him so that he wouldn't have to tell her but Candi had heard him. Candi placed her arm around Sprouts shoulder and smiled
"You can tell me anything Sproutie, I promise not to tell anyone" Sprout knew that Candi wouldn't tell, she promised not to. After a few moments of Sprout mumbling he finally told Candi what was bothering him. He told Candi his big secret.
"I support you Sproutie, you can love whoever you want to love" Candi smiled as she pulled Sprout in for a hug, usually Sprout pulled away after a while but he hugged her for a while holding back tears.
"It's my job to protect you now, Sproutie" Candi let go of Sprout and smiled at him. Candi and Sprout both knew that they would have to keep this secret for a while because Sprout just couldn't tell anyone else, he was too scared.  Sprout crawled into his bed left with nothing but his thoughts. He began thinking to himself what if he told everyone his secret? Would it be good or bad? So many thoughts ran through his head at once, he realised he would have to tell someone else eventually. Sprout eventually fell to sleep still worrying about what would happen if he told his secret.  The next morning, Sprout sat down with his tea and his thoughts, Dude sat beside him they smiled at each other before turning away.
"Hey Sprout" Dude smiled trying to started a conversation with Sprout who looked like he had little sleep
"Hi Dude" Sprout mumbled quietly, Dude was the last person he wanted to tell his secret to
"Are you okay?" Dude asked concerned. Sprout was acting very different and Dude was the first one to question it even though the whole gang had noticed. Sprout just nodded, he knew if he answered Dude he'd end up telling him his secret and he couldn't risk telling Dude. Not just yet
