As I headed to homeroom, all I could think about was the girl who bumped into me, I'm gonna be honest here , I had a small crush on her. She was beautiful, kind, cool, you name it. Now that I think of it, that crush isn't so small any more.
After homeroom was math, as I headed in, I could see the teacher putting start of the year tests on everybody's desk. She looked at her clock and said "all of you have 45 minutes to complete the test, take your time. I sat down, rested my backpack next to my chair, and got started. It took me exactly 5 minutes and 23 seconds to complete it. When I came to her desk she didn't even look up. "There's two pages", she said. I sighed. "I know, I did both of them". She finally looks at me, in shock. She grabs the papers from me and flips through them, looking bewildered.
" umm... You can go to your seat and er, read a book. I nodded, smiling as I headed towards my desk. I read for about 30 minutes. "Looks like everybody's already done", she said putting up a smile. "Well, I guess we'll move on to the next thing". Everybody (not including me) groaned. The teacher handed out scratch paper and started to write problems on the board.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He said, smiling. "Yes, but definitely not in the same way." "Come on Ben just walk up to her and say hi." "No way", I replied. " She's way outta my league." Mike thought for a moment. "Go to the gym 5 days a week, it'll take a month but you'll be and look stronger." "Too long", I replied. "One week or so and she'll be making out with a jock." "Then be Prince Charming", he replied. "Prince what?" Mike just looked at me. I took a deep breath and said, "Mike you know I'm not good with girls that way!". He inhaled. "Ok, I thought it would never come down to this, but... Just be yourself".
