"ACK! ACHOO!" Tweek stood up for the sixth time that class period to go grab a tissue from the back shelf. It was becoming increasingly annoying each time. He heard Mr. Mackey sigh at his desk and mumbled an apology as he sat back down in his seat.
"Tweek. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave m'kay?" Mr. Mackey said with a small gesture to the door. He was subbing for their geometry class that day because their usual teacher was out sick. "Now I appreciate you trying to be here, m'kay? But you're clearly sick and...well infecting your classmates is bad, m'kay? Go ahead and head to the nurse's office, m'kay? M'kay."
"But I'm- ACK. I'm not sick! It's just REALLY stuffy in here I swea- ACHOO!" Tweek was given a stern look by Mr. Mackey and sighed in defeat. He picked up his bag and quickly walked out of the class. "Oh my parents will k-kill me." He mumbled to himself as he made the walk of shame to the nurse's office.
"Aren't you supposed to be in class?" A dry voice came from behind him. He nearly jumped out of his skin and whipped around.
"ACK! Oh hey Craig. I could- I could ask you the same thing."
Craig simply held up a bathroom pass without saying a word pretty much forcing Tweek to continue.
"Oh well I got sent to the nurse's office. Mackey thinks I'm sick." The blond explained, choking back a cough he'd been holding since their interaction began.
"Are you?"
"Am I what?"
"Sick."
Tweek shrugged and promptly broke into a coughing fit. Craig walked over and patted his friend's back as he continued hacking.
"Need water?" Craig offered, sliding his backpack off and digging through the front pocket of it. He found the water bottle he'd been looking for and held it out. Tweek nodded vigorously and gratefully grabbed it. He took a huge swig out of it, spilling a bit on his shirt.
"T-thank you."
"You're not going to the nurse's office. You're going home." Craig stated. he didn't wait for a response before grabbing Tweek's arm and pulling him along down the hallway.
"Wait what?? No I- ACK I can't ditch school! They'll s-send someone for me! I'll be in huge trouble!"
"They're gonna send you home because you're sick anyways." Craig reasoned. "Might as well get there sooner."
"B-but now you're skipping class too. Oh God what if they send someone for YOU! ACK. You could be kil- ACK in trouble!"
"I was gonna skip today anyways." This was a blatant lie, but Tweek didn't need to know that. Tweek didn't bother arguing anymore. He just mumbled to himself, occasionally sniffling or coughing. They got out to Craig's car and Tweek begrudgingly got in the passenger seat.
"Wait Craig my par-parents are home."
"Okay then we'll go to mine and I'll drop you off once school gets out." Craig shrugged and started driving. Tweek made a sound of disapproval, but he couldn't change Craig's mind once it was made up. The drive was silent other than the low music on the radio. Craig only lived five minutes away from the school, so it was obviously a very short drive. Craig parked in his driveway, took the keys out of the ignition, got out, and then opened the passenger door for Tweek who got out with a small 'thank you'. There were no other cars in the driveway which calmed Tweek's nerves a tiny bit. Once they got inside the house, Tweek let out a short stream of curses.
"I left my- ACK thermos at school."
"It'll be in the lost and found tomorrow don't worry."
"B-but my coffee-"
"You don't need to be drinking that right now. You're sick and it'll just dehydrate you." Craig pointed out. "You can head to my room. I'll be there in a minute." Tweek was very much on edge knowing his thermos was left at school, but he trudged to Craig's room anyways. He sat down on the edge of his bed and set his backpack down right next to him to where it was making contact with his leg. Twitching and coughing occasionally, he waited.
