Sana stared at the familiar number. Why was Taehyung calling her? Moreover at this hour? Not that it was late but she knew Jungkook would freak out if he saw her talking to him.She cleared her throat before she answered the phone. "Hello?"
The first thing she heard was a harsh intake of air. She bit her lip in nervousment. She had no idea why he called her. Perhaps, he learned about the bracelet?
The wheels in her mind started to turn and Sana thought hard in those few seconds he didn't respond of what lie should she come up with if he asked. She considered texting Tzuyu for advice but couldn't as Taehyung spoke just then.
"Jin Ah-ya," He called making Sana frown. Why was he calling her by the name of his ex? "Am I that bad?"
What?
It was silent for a couple of seconds before his voice came again. "I can't possibly be worse than Dong Hoon." He laughed but Sana knew he wasn't really laughing.
She gulped. Was he drunk? Was he drunk calling her? Why? Did she seem like his personal therapist or his friend to whom he could rant about his ex?
Anger surged through her, "Oppa." She called firmly. "I am not Jin Ah."
Sana heard him chuckle. "Just say you don't want to talk. Why are you lying? I know it's you, Jin Ah."
I AM NOT.
Sana took a deep breath to calm herself before she replied. "I am not lying. It's Sana, Oppa."
Taehyung didn't reply. Sana was about to cut the call when again he spoke. "Sana? Don't you hate her? I guess you really hate me now to lie to me using her name."
"You know what? Think whatever you want, asshole. I had enough!" Sana ranted before she cut the call.
She threw herself on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Taehyung's words replayed endlessly in her mind.
Am I that bad?
She was the one who wanted to ask that question. Was she that bad that he couldn't see her as a woman instead of just his bestfriend's sister?
Her phone dinged just then bringing her out of her thoughts. Sana glanced at it finding a message from Taehyung.
Taehyung Oppa • 9:01 pm
I luv u jin ah
so much u dont knowSana stared at the message, an ugly feeling settling in her chest. She rolled her eyes a few seconds later. How badly had her plan backfired.
She succeeded at tearing them apart but at what cost? The message was like a slap in the face for her.

When morning came, Sana quietly got ready for the day. It didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook that she wasn't her usual energetic self.
When she exited the car, Taehyung came over to Jungkook and placed his head on his shoulder as he groaned. "I have such a bad headache!" He complained.
Jungkook pulled away as he shot him a glare. "Serves you right. Who told you to go drinking when you know we have uni the day after?" He muttered.
Taehyung followed him to class. "It's terrible. The headache, I mean. My brain feels like exploding."
"Going through heartache and headache both at once. Dude, I almost felt sorry for you but then I realize the reason is Jin Ah." Jimin laughed.
Jungkook chuckled as he shook his head while Taehyung glared at Jimin.
"I am not in the mood for such jokes."
"When are you?" Jimin shot back. He slapped Taehyung on the shoulder. "Get over her!"
"I am trying." Taehyung grumbled.
Jimin stared at him before he suddenly got up. "Let's go." He said to Taehyung and Jungkook.
"Where?" The two boys questioned.
Jimin shrugged. "Anywhere. We have the first unit free."
Taehyung's eyes nearly bulged out of his socket at the news. "What? Really? Why did no one tell me?"
Jimin shot him a look. "Aren't you in the batch group chat?"
Jungkook shook his head. "He is. He has it on mute."
The three boys exited the class and made their way to the bleachers.
Taehyung took out his phone as he snapped a picture of the sky. "Wow, morning skies are so pretty."
He tapped the video option and recorded the field with a grin on his face. Through the camera he saw someone sitting on the bleachers, her head pressed against her bag. His smile slowly disappeared as he stopped recording and walked over to her, leaving behind Jungkook and Jimin who were running around.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
Sana whipped her head up at the voice. She shrugged. "Nothing."
Taehyung narrowed his eyes. "Aren't you skipping class?"
Sana glared back at him. "I am not. Even if I were, I don't see how that concerns you."
Taehyung stared at her face which glowed under the sunlight. For a moment, his heart skipped a beat.
She's indeed pretty.
"Free unit?"
Sana shook her head. "I am bunking class." She mumbled lowly. She shrank even more when she spotted Jungkook and Jimin who thankfully hadn't noticed her then.
She turned to Taehyung. "Don't tell Jungkook, okay." She glanced back at Jungkook and Jimin before turning to Taehyung again. She stood and pushed his arm a little. "And go quickly. I don't want him to see me skipping class."
Taehyung was left in a daze. This was the most he had ever interacted with Sana. And he couldn't quite think properly.
Before he knew it, he was already walking back to Jungkook and Jimin and ushering them back to class, saying he was getting cold.
As expected, he got scolded on why he didn't wear a thicker shirt but the only thing on his mind was since when did he start listening to Sana and hiding what she did from Jungkook?
I am Jungkook's friend, not hers. Even if I don't tell on her why am I going out of my way to protect her?
He shook his head as he made his way back to class. Minatozaki Sana was dangerous.
