Taehyung woke up in high spirits. After his declaration to Jin Ah yesterday, he felt like he was on top of the world. He had made up his mind that today he was going to find someone and show Jin Ah that he could indeed do better.

He got out of the car with Jungkook and Sana, his gaze lingering on the youngest for a second. She had been quiet the entire time. Normally, Sana will bid him goodbye before leaving but she didn't right now. She didn't spare him a glance as she rushed inside the university leaving both him and Jungkook confused.

"What's up? Is she late for her class or something?" Taehyung asked. He knew Sana was upset for some reason. She had been down for quite some time but he didn't understand why. Despite being popular, she had only one friend and was in no relationship as far as he knew. He found no reason for the blonde to be upset unless it was that time of the month.

Jungkook shook his head, "Who knows? She was happy before going to bed yesterday, I don't know what came over her now." He said.

Upon reaching the class the two spotted Jimin sitting at their usual bench. "What are you doing?" Taehyung asked.

"Nothing." Jimin immediately put his phone away. "The class isn't happening by the way."

Jungkook groaned. "Why didn't they tell us before?" He hated waking up at 7 just for the morning class and then it was not even happening.

Jimin shrugged. "Apparently, Mr. Song got into an accident."

Taehyung nodded in realization. "Well let's go then?"

"Where?" Jungkook asked.

"Anywhere. I just don't wanna stay here." Taehyung said and pulled both him and Jimin up.

The three friends got out of their department walking around the university with no particular destination in mind. It was definitely too early to go to canteen and they weren't in the mood to play any sport right now either.

"Oh!" Jimin spoke looking at his phone. He raised his fist in the air in excitement. "Finally something to look forward to!"

"What is it?" Taehyung spoke while Jungkook took his phone.

"Party at Jackson's tomorrow." Taehyung read the screen.

"Are you going?" Jungkook asked.

Taehyung nodded. He remembered last night and felt relieved that he was provided an opportunity so early. Knowing Jin Ah she would never pass up a party, and Dong Hoon is friends with Jackson too.

"Yesss!" Jimin cheered. "Party boy Taehyung is finally back!" He laughed, slapping Taehyung's shoulder who chuckled.

Jungkook nodded. "I will come too then."

A growl distracted them and it took less than a second to realize it came from Jimin's stomach.

"You didn't have breakfast again?" Taehyung asked.

Jimin smiled sheepishly and the trio started towards the cafeteria.

Jimin ordered waffles and coffee and watching him made the other two hungry as well and so they all had breakfast while talking about different things.

Taehyung's phone beeped and he glanced at it, finding a message from an unknown number.

010-5637-432
?

Taehyung tapped on the chat and his eyes grew as wide as saucers. "I love you Jin Ah?" He mumbled under his breath, careful not to let his friends hear him. When did he send these messages?

He immediately checked the date and realized that it had been a few days. How had he not seen this was beyond him. Taehyung had always gotten a lot of messages from unknown numbers and he didn't bother to check them most of the time knowing they all wanted to get with him but he was already with Jin Ah.

The amount had only increased since his breakup but Taehyung hadn't changed. Apart from his pinned chats that comprised of the class group, Jungkook and Jimin, he didn't check other chats which was probably why he missed this number. Some person who he had told that he loved his ex.

He shook his head and brainstormed what he should answer. It had been a few days and whilst he was a bit suspicious of the fact the other person took days to respond, he just concluded that they might have been busy.

He tapped on the number and decided to check out the account. If his eyes hadn't bulged out from their socket before, they definitely had now cause how the hell had he messaged Jeon Sana out of all people when drunk?

Why was there her name right below the number?

Taehyung felt like banging his head on the wall repeatedly. It was no surprise to him now that the person tried to ignore him. It was Sana. Of course she would ignore him. Especially when he confused her with his ex.

He checked the calls section just in case. Scrolling down a bit, he found Sana's number there again. And right next to her name, there was the time and day showing that he had called her yesterday.

"Oh god." Taehyung dropped his phone and rubbed his face. He was so screwed. So so screwed.

"Are you alright?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung felt like burying himself alive at his voice. How could he even face him, the brother of the girl who he had drunk called and messaged? Taehyung knew Jungkook was very protective of Sana and he also didn't like Jin Ah so he can only imagine his anger when he finds out that he was indirectly using Sana to get over Jin Ah.

He felt Jimin's gaze on him and suddenly he felt suffocated. He got up from his seat and took out his cigarette case from his bag.

"I will be back in a minute." He said and walked off without waiting for their reply. The other two shrugged. It was normal for Taehyung to wander off in between their talks to smoke. Among them he was the one who smoked the most.

"No wonder she's ignoring me. She probably wants to smack me in the head." Taehyung shook his head and took a drag.

He didn't bother checking if he had called her other than last night. He didn't want to know. He already was so embarrassed. All he wanted was to apologize to her but even that seemed too hard.

Realizing he had basically left her on read, Taehyung opened his phone again and typed sorry but couldn't press send. He had no idea how to apologize.

Should he pretend he didn't have her number saved and unknowingly called her? Would that sit well with her? He remembered all the birthday wishes and memes Sana had shared with him. Truly, the girl had tried to befriend him but Taehyung didn't understand why he always felt on his toes around her. He was always on alert. Never too comfortable. It wasn't only because Jungkook was there watching everything his sister did like a hawk but Taehyung felt intimidated by her as well. He didn't like to admit it but from the very first moment he saw her, he felt that she was someone unapproachable. And off limits.

Jungkook had never explicitly said that but that was the air around the ravenette. She seemed unattainable.

Taehyung kept his distance and for the first few years, Sana did as well. As he started picking them up for college, Sana started to greet him. Taehyung figured she was just being polite because she didn't talk to him other than that. And so it continued and the two never got along but Taehyung didn't mind. He just wished he hadn't deleted her number.

Just then he heard someone laughing, the sound bringing him out of his thoughts. It was an airy laugh and while Taehyung hated when people laughed loudly, he didn't seem to mind this time. He stilled for a moment, his cigarette between his fingers a few inches away from his lips while he stared at the girl run her hand down the boy's arm.

"So see you tomorrow?" He asked.

Sana nodded and smiled at him. "See you, Channie." She waved at him. Taehyung's eye twitched. Channie? And what's with the way she smiled at him?

The boy left and Sana turned, her gaze falling on Taehyung who stood there staring at her. She was wearing a black floral dress that stopped at her mid thigh, emphasizing her white skin. It hugged her figure perfectly and Taehyung almost frowned at her. How did he not notice this before?

Sana remembered the question mark she had sent him and stalked over to him.

"Oppa.." she started, voice soft. She looked up at him, "Can we talk?"
