~reunion~

Inui woke up with a slight pain in his head. He felt a burning sensation on his knees as he found kokonoi rubbing some ointment on the scraps.

"You.. scrapped your knee while falling... seishu.." kokonoi mumbled

Inui glanced at him with a gloomy look in his eyes, remembering the past events. He looked away towards the window.

His mind drifted back to two years ago, when him and kokonoi were together.

"Aah! Koko! You hurt meee!" Inui wailed as kokonoi pricked his skin with a needle to sew a bleeding wound shut.

"Sweetheart, you know you don't need to cook for me. I can't afford you getting hurt you know?" Kokonoi said in a warm tone.

"But... but I love you just soo much! And I wanna show it to you! And I know how to cook some dishes... so I thought that if I cook them for you.. you will be happy..." inui fought back with starry eyes.

"Hmmm... be careful then next time.. love" kokonoi said in the warm tone.

"Mm.. ok love!" Inui chimed as his face was adorned with a smile yet again, due to his passionate love.

But that used to be, he should be focusing on what's going on now. He couldn't tell whether he should be hating kokonoi or not. He couldn't tell.

"Koko..." He mumbled.

Kokonoi's head shot up in surprise as he had waited for those same words for a long time.

"Yes..?" He spoke in the same warm tone. It made inui's heart skip a beat as he kept staring at kokonoi with his lips parted and glazed eyes.

"Tell me...." He started "d-do you really love me?" He spoke whilst breathing heavily. This question had been stuck in his heart for a long time, it hurt him, often.

As if on que, kokonoi looked at inui with glazy eyes, as his lips trembled too.

"S-seishu..." He trailed..

"I know what the answer is.. you don't.. you love someone else... since when koko..? When we were together.. or after...?" He asked as he tried to keep a straight face but failed miserably, as tears trickled one after another and his lips trembled uncontrollably. "Y-you know koko?.. when we were dating... I thought how it would be like if we broke up and you would date someone else... it was so suffocating to even think... I feel so dead now.." He continued.

Kokonoi pulled himself up from his knees and sat infront of seishu on the bed.
"You know what?.. the biggest problem is.. that you assume things on your own." He said.

"Haha... no koko... what am I to think if you don't answer my questions, my worries.. I kept asking you what was wrong.. what happened.. but you didn't answer.. so I had to assume things on my own.. didn't I?.."

"Fine... you win.. I need to go.." kokonoi said as he stood up. In a swift, inui propped onto his knees and pulled kokonoi's shirt. Kokonoi's legs hit the bed edge as he fell backwards onto the bed, his head into the soft hands of inui.

"Y-you.. didn't answer my question koko.." inui mumbled quietly as he looked down at kokonoi's face.

"Your question? What question?" He asked.

"D-do you love me..?" He spoke

Kokonoi looked at him with hesitancy as he propped himself up and looked at inui In the eye. He forgot about everything in the world, what happened and how it happened. All he wanted now was his wish to come true.
