Shang-Chi stormed into his apartment with Katy following behind him. He frantically started to pack.
Shang-Chi's mind was going a hundred miles an hour wondering what the hell was going on. Was Xialing okay? Where was Xialing if she still wasn't living with their father? How did their father find him? And most importantly, what did he want with their pendants?
She asked him what the hell was going on and where he was going. "Macau," he answered. "Macau," she echoed, dumbfounded.
"I think my sister, Xialing, stays there. The postcard was from Macau," Shang-Chi said.
"You think?" Thor said.
"I haven't spoken to her in a long time."
"Macau has nice parties," said Wong.
"Those guys are going after my sister next, and I have to get to her first." "You have a sister?"
"Katy didn't know you have a sister?" Carol asked.
"I told you, I wanted to leave everything behind and didn't like to talk about my past. Besides, it's safer if Katy didn't know anything," said Shang-Chi.
Natasha let out a bitter smile. That sounded extremely familiar.
He promised he would explain when he got back, but she grabbed the bag out of his hand and said, "Hell no, dude. This is bullshit!"
"Understandable," said Clint.
"I have been by your side for half your life. I get there are things you never wanted to talk about, and I never wanted to push. But a guy with a freaking machete for an arm just chopped our bus in half, Shaun! Who the hell are you?!" Katy exclaimed.
Shang-Chi's throat thickened. Would she still stay by his side after she found out the truth about who he was? Even if he did tell her the truth, he would never ever tell her that he killed his mom's murderer. Just thinking about it filled him up with shame.
"I get not wanting Katy to know before, but the truth's been out ever since Shaun busted out those moves—which you have to teach me by the way," Kate told Shang-Chi. She was going to have to seriously upgrade her fighting skills if she was going to take down Kingpin.
"I will."
"I know Razor Fist is working for the Ten Rings and tried to hurt Shaun and Katy, but man, that arm was cool," said Peter. Bucky wondered if he could attach a machete to his arm but he knew that Rocket would probably want that too.
Shang-Chi showed her a postcard. "My sister sent me this a few months ago. I think it's the address of where she's staying."
Shang-Chi was slightly worried about what his baby sister was doing in Macau, of all places.
"Those guys back there were sent by my dad. If they hurt her..." he trailed off.
Shang-Chi's face darkened at the thought of his father harming Xialing.
Tony and Rhodey clenched their jaws. They weren't surprised that Wenwu would be capable of all this considering what he did to his son and the empire he managed to build.
"I'm sorry, but I have to go," he said. "Fine. You can explain on the plane," she said.
"The plane?!" Shang-Chi yelped. "Katy's not coming!" He didn't want her anywhere near all of this!
"Come on, do you think Katy could let you go alone? Obviously, I don't know her like you do, but she doesn't seem like the type of person to do that," said Steve.
