First week of December, students call it hell week. And they also call the month's first two weeks, the 12 days punishment of hell.

Since our university is trimestral, this month of the year is very busy and demanding. Madaming hinahabol na requirements at projects ang mga estudyante.

Dapat silang umabot sa binigay na deadline dahil mahirap na at baka hindi nila maabutan ang ibang professors na maagang nagpa-file ng leave.

In my case, I don't have to cram and worry. I always prepare in advanced. For me, I prefer written than practical exam.

Hindi ko gusto ng by partners or group kapag may project na hindi pwede ang solo. Mahina ako sa teamwork, cooperation at communication. Hindi ako ang leader type, more on I want to be alone type.

Today's class of Ms. Fajardo is our last discussion. It's just less than an hour before the period ends.

The professor is writing a very long problem in the board. Probably, it was the last one she will give.

"Can someone solve question number five on the board?"

Before the professor finishes what she is saying, I instantly raise my left hand.

I'm in my competitive mode.

"Anyone?"

It seems like she is purposely ignoring me.

I look at every person in the room. No one is raising their hands except me. Most of the students are avoiding eye contact with her.

I raised my hand even higher.

Ms. , ako na.

"Ok. I'll give plus 10 points in the final exam to whoever can solve this problem."

Nagkaroon ng mga bulungan ngunit wala pa rin nagtataas ng kamay.

"Wala pa rin. Sayang ang 10 points."

Hay Ms. pansinin niyo na kasi ako.

Napalingon siya sa direksyon ko tila ba narinig ang sinabi ko sa isip ko.

"Nag-iisa lang ba ang estudyante ko dito? Even though I know you don't need these points anymore, Ms. Fonteza, please solve the problem in the board, now."

I walk with confidence.

Pagkatapos kong masagutan ang given problem ay humarap ako para ipakita sa lahat ang equation na ginawa ko.

"Correct. You may take your seat."

"Fine. Siya na ang magaling." Bulong ng isang babaeng nakaupo sa front row pero narinig ko naman.

"Sayang, ang hirap naman kasi."

Reklamo ng payat na estudyanteng lalake na nakasuot ng salamin na may mataas na grado.

"Ok. This is it for today. Next meeting, we will have a review session. Study and review well for the upcoming final exam. Class dismissed."

Maaga ng 30 minutes ang dismissal namin.

Palabas na ako ng classroom ng may bumangga sa tagiliran ko. Pagtingin ko sa labas ng pinto ay nakita ko ang babaeng nakapustura pero hindi masyadong kagandahan.
