~ Cassie ~
Let's just say, recess was interesting. Having no friends meant I had nowhere to go, and nobody to sit with. Holding a shiny green apple in my hand, I walked around seeing multiple groups of people, all happy and laughing and playing around. I felt quite lonely and homesick.
Spying an empty space under a large
gumtree, I sat down and began to eat my apple. A while later, a boy sat down next to me.
"Hiya gorgeous, what's your name?" He asked happily, seeming pretty pleased with himself.
He wasn't bad looking, kinda cute actually. He had long blonde hair that swept across the left side of his face, dazzling green eyes, a defined jawline and small freckles splattered around his slightly pale face.
"Cassie" I replied quietly, feeling awkward and unsure of myself. He nodded thoughtfully.
"Sweet. I'm Dylan. Dylan Bond" he winked and I laughed.
"Bond? As in James Bond?" I giggled with a small smile tugging at my lips.
"Yup! That's the joke!" He grinned, pleased that I understood the reference.
"Hey do you wanna come hang with my group? You seem pretty lonely here all by yourself" he asked kindly, peeking at me through a sweep of golden blonde hair.
"Sure, will they mind?" I questioned cautiously.
"Not at all!" He smiled. "Come on! We sit on the oval, away from everybody else." He grabbed my hand and helped me up, but let go as we started walking.
"So where are ya from?" He asked, looking at me curiously.
"Darwin" I answered. "I went to a really small school before here, there were only 98 kids"
"F*ck that's far away, what brings you all the way down to Sydney?" He exclaimed.
I shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it. Thankfully we had arrived at his group.
"Oi guys! This is Cassie" he introduced as I waved. I noticed neither Abby nor Noah were in this group.
"Sup, I'm Tyler" a skinny, pale boy replied in a husky voice. He had dark bags under his faded brown eyes like he hadn't slept in days. Messy black hair sat on top of his head. He had a black lip piercing and a cigarette dangling from his cherry red lips. He looked like the ultimate bad boy.
A short, larger girl with short cut blue hair, blue eyes and about 10 ear piercings introduced herself as Megan. She also had a cigarette between her teeth.
"The names Ryder" a tall, tanned, muscular guy said, looking up at me. His dark grey eyes seemed to hold many dangers and secrets, brown hair, tied back into a small bun and large hands patted the ground next to him. "Come sit" he smirked.
I wasn't sure if I trusted him or not. he was quite intimidating and seemed dangerous. But, I sat. We chatted about trivial things and I realised, these people aren't so bad after all. They're actually quite nice once you get to know them!
Megan offered me a smoke but I politely declined. I wasn't against smoking or anything, it just didn't feel right to smoke at school.Maybe I could make some friends after all.
