Zeus

Waking up tied up was what I expected. However waking up tied over Tartarus with venom dripping on my face and my internal organs being eaten by a phoenix was not expected.

"GODS DAMMIT! Get me down!"

"No can do Zeus!" I could hear the sneer in Apollos voice.

"APOLLO LET ME DOWN AND YOUR PUNISHMENT WONT BE AS SEVERE AS YOU MIGHT THINK!"

"Sorry Zeus, I dead remember you can't punish me anymore. However there were a few, and when I say a few I mean all, gods who thought that my punishment went to far. Let me die was a cruel thing to do. Not to mention all the things you did to the others. No mine was just the straw that broke the camels back Zeus."

Apollo began to shake the tree I was tied to.

"STOP! STOP DONT DO THIS APOLLO! I CAN FIX THIS I CAN- I CAN BRING YOU BACK!"

Yeah I could totally do that, then I could sold him for putting me in this situation!

The tree stopped shaking.

"Well...thats  the thing tho, I don't want to come back. Bringing me back just so I could be tortured by you again sounds like a bad idea. So I think you can just stay here for a while. And ya know think about what you've done."

I could see the flecks of gold shimmer away so I know Apollo left to go somewhere else.

Dammit!
||Gets gory here||

The venom fell into my eyes stinging my corneas and every so often I could hear the phoenix tearing away bits of me.

I don't know what was worse hanging over a cliff, not being able to see what's below because of the venom, hearing the sounds of your being being eaten or the fact that all of this stuff I had done to others. Ah well except for the venom, but I assume Loki payed a visit again.

||Gore ends here||

The tree shifted.

"You know you only have yourself to blame. Maybe if you had been a better husband and ruler you wouldn't be here."

Hera, thank me!

"Hera, Get me out of here!"

There was a pause before she said anything.

I coughed as venom fell into my mouth.

"I don't think so. Maybe if things were different and you had been more loyal, I'd stay with you but on the other hand you were a lousy husband and let one of us die under your rule and were Gods! No you can stay by yourself. And when you get out of here divorce is fine by me!"

The tree shifted again and she was gone.

Divorce, The goddess of marriage divorcing me! Holy Hades that's...

"FANTASTIC!!! I've been waiting a millennia for that!"

"Waiting for what?"

The area grew dark and cold.

Hades I shoulda known you'd stop by you fucker!

"Oh nothing, just that when I get outta here I'm getting a divorce!"

I guess my smile wasn't good enough for him cause he said "I'm so sorry Zeus, is there anyway to fix your marriage?"

"Sorry why are you sorry, I've been waiting for her to say she wanted one for over a millennia!"

Hades did something unexpected.

He sat down on the edge of the cliff, not on the tree where others decided would be good.

"I know you don't like Hera but marriage is an important thing. Its supposed to be through thick and thin forever and Always. I think if you both tried hard enough you could work things out."

I scoffed "Says the guy who cheated on his wife twice with the same woman and had a Roman child too "

"Yes I did, and Persephone and I have worked through it. I have remained loyal to her since. I have been forgiven and am working on forgiving myself. Maybe you and Hera should do the same."

"Whatever Hades."

He nodded. "Goodbye brother."

He disappeared into the shadows.
