The Brightest Smile {Rengoku kyojuro X fem reader}

Part 10 - The following weeks

You woke in the butterfly estate with kyojuro holding your hand as he slept. You also had two IV'S connected to your arms. A small smile formed on your lips.

You layed your head on the pillow and stared at the roof. The small snores of kyojuro brought calmness in the hospital wing. You sat back up when you heard someone enter the room. It was shinobu you smiled at her. She looked at the sleeping boy and mouthed 'is he still holding your hand' you nodded. Then looking away while blushing like crazy

Shinobu just giggled and walked towards you to check on the IV. To which woke kyojuro. You looked at him as he yawned. As his sleepy eyes looked up at you his eyes widened.

"Y/N your awake!" He said with surprise in his voice

You nodded with a small smile on your face. Kyojuro was always so cheerful, he would always brighten up a room.

"So what happened during the final selection? For you to be this hurt" shinobu asked.

Kyojuro also looked at you with wonder in his eyes. You sighed and groaned a bit as you tried to remember the events. You put your finger on your chin thinking.

"Well..... I don't remember anything from the first two nights.... The third night I have a vage memory of how I got stabbed. So basically what happened was I heard this kid crying so I went to go see what happened and they just turned around and 'accidentally' stabbed me. The fourth night nothing really happened. The fifth and sixth night I got a few cuts and broken ribs from demons. But the seventh night...." You then went quiet.

Kyojuro looked at you with pity in his eyes. As shinobu finished up and started walking towards the door. You opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out you sighed and layed back down staring at the roof everything was starting to hurt. You were in immense pain but you didn't show it.

"The last night I was there was hectic. There was a demon with many hands" you made a small groan but continued "when I arrived to were the demon was I was.. I was.." you paused

"Y/N do try and push yourself" kyojuro said with worry in his eyes.

You shook your head."kyojuro I'm fine. The demon at final selection on the final night had many arms. I only remember getting pushed into a tree 2 times but towards the end of the fight I don't remember anything."

You said with your eyes looking at kyojuro to see what his reaction would be. He had a serious face as he processed the information. He looked at you with worry. "How are you not more injured." He asked shinobu looked at you nodding. You looked at him and yawned "I don't know" you said blankly "but damn shit still hurts like hell."

Kyojuro just looked at you with consurn in his eyes. "Well it will hurt because your body is still healing. But I do want to know if you can walk". Shinobu said, you just stared at her as you got out of bed.. you took a small step forward "does that answer it.." you said to her. Kyojuro had a big smile on his face as he watched you take that step.

"I think your ready for rehabilitation..." Shinobu said...

{Two weeks later}

"So you're telling me that I can go home... Today?" You asked. "Yeah.." shinobu replied your eyes lit up in excitement. Shinobu smiled at your excitement and she had just finished her check up on you.

You got up off the chair and skipped your way out the door of the room. Shinobu giggled lightly. Kyojuro was waiting for you outside when you were finished.

Once you left the building kyojuro was standing at the gate waiting for you. You walked up to him and hugged him. You had surprised him as he jumped slightly at you hugging him. "Can we go home now.." You asked kyojuro softly. Kyojuro hugged you back "yes we can go home" he said softly as he picked you up and started carrying you home. "Kyojuro what the heck put me down..." You said but kyojuro just shook his head. "Nope I'm not putting you down."

A while later the two of you made it home and kyojuro finally put you down. You then heard a familiar voice call your name, you looked in the direction to see it was senjiro. You ran over and hugged him.

"I missed you so much" senjiro said as he started crying. "I missed you too.. I'm so sorry that I was gone so long.." you said pulling away from the hug. "Oh yeah Y/N your sword came yesterday" senjiro said wiping away his tears. Your face lit up "It did?!.." you said standing up quite quickly. Senjiro smiled and started walking towards your room. You followed him excitedly. He grabbed a katana that was covered with cloth. He then handed it to you. You Took it and uncovered it, you then unsheathed the katana and held it up Infront of you the blade started turning a crimson red colour.

"Wow it's so pretty.." you said in aw as you looked at the blade. "Hey.. it's the same colour as my blade." Kyojuro said as he unsheathed his katana to show the colour of his blade.. "wow it is" you then  looked at your katanas hilt it was a pastel pink flower. The handle was cyan blue...

A/N: damn I have absolutely no motivation at all.. also an announcement I'm making a new rengoku X Reader story :)
