"Hey.. it's the same colour as my blade." Kyojuro said as he unsheathed his katana to show the colour of his blade.. "wow it is" you then looked at your katanas hilt it was a pastel pink flower. The handle was cyan blue.
{Time skip- an hour}
You were in your room when you heard the cawing of a bird so you went outside and a crow landed on your shoulder... It was your crow...
"Caw... Caw... Northwest... Northwest..." The crow squawked loudly.
"My poor eardrums.." You said quietly as you covered your ears. You slowly stood up and decided to get changed into your uniform and placing your katana on your hip. You then walked outside seeing kyojuro training senjiro.
You walked over towards them. "Hey!" You said to them causing kyojuro to look at you and smile. "Are you going on your first mission?" Kyojuro asked and you nodded. "Well be careful and please come back safely." Kyojuro added. You then waved and left for your mission.
After hours of walking you finally arrived to your mission in the northern west region. It was a small town. Everyone was walking into their houses to have dinner with their families. It was quiet as the sun started to set painting the sky beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. "I wonder how a demon could do anything terrible to such a small and quiet town." You spoke to yourself as you walked around.
You then walked past a small house that reeked of blood. You stopped outside the door your hand hesitating to open the door. You then opened it revealing a demon feasting on a small family. You squirmed slightly before you pulled out your katana, and entering the house. "Hey demon. What do you think your doing?!" You said loudly catching the demons attention. The demon turned their head towards you making you feel a shiver go down your spine.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" The demon spoke. His voice sent chills through your body. You raised your katana and spoke softly "petals of fire breathing: first form - burning blossoms." You sliced the demons top half of it's head. You then got tackled to the ground by the demon. The demon dug it's claws into your scars. You felt an agonizing pain but you pushed the demon off you as the demon swiped at your face scratching your cheek slightly.
You backed away slightly and got in position to strike again. Blood slowly dripped from your face. "Petals of fire breathing: third form - flaming flower rain." You said as you striked again decapitating the demon. You looked down at the head and said a small prayer. You then looked at the bodies of the family that the demon masicared. You slowly walked over and bent down closing the child's eyes.. as you picked them up to go bury them.
After five minutes you finished burying the whole family. You said a small prayer before leaving. You slowly made your way home as the stars twinkle in the sky. There was not a single cloud in the sky.
You soon made it to the gate of the rengoku estate. You opened the gate and went inside and went to your room and laid down on your bed and passed out.
The next morning you woke up to kyojuro staring at you. "When did you get back?" Kyojuro asked. You looked at him 'why does he look so worried?' You thought to yourself. "Around midnight.. why?" You sounded quite tired. "You're bleeding.." kyojuro replied. "Wait what?" You said as you sat up. You then realised that you were still in your uniform and your face had dried blood on it. You then felt kyojuro touch your back. "What happened to you last night? This looks deep.." kyojuro said as he looked at the marks from the demons nails that dug into the scars on your back. "Um the demon I fought last night did that.." you said softly.
"I'll go get something to clean that up and some bandages.. stay here" kyojuro said as he left to go get those things. You sighed and stood up to go get changed. After you got changed into a yukata and sat down on your bed waiting for kyojuro to return. He then finally returned "Y/N can you please take of your top.." kyojuro asked making you blush. "K-kyojuro?!" You said as you blushed. "It's only for me to clean that wound on your back.." kyojuro said softly. You slowly took of the top of your yukata and kyojuro gently touched your wound...
"Ow.." you said softly as kyojuro started to clean the wound. "Sorry" kyojuro said apologetically as he continued to clean the wound. After a few minutes he finally started to wrap the bandage on the wound.
"Thank you kyojuro." You said softly as you put the top of your yukata back on. "There's no need to thank me." Kyojuro said softly as he smiled. "So your next mission is a joint mission." Kyojuro said. "Really? How do you know that?." You asked. "Well...." Kyojuro replied...
