Part 23: Study Group

Reader pov: 

"Get in your seats," Aizawa said in a gravelly voice. It sounds and looks like he just woke up. Everyone rushed to sit down, afraid to irritate the teacher. "You will be having your midterms all week starting tomorrow. There will be three days of written work and one day of practical. Those who fail won't be going to summer camp with the rest of the class."

"What!?" Denki yelled. "There's no way I'll be able to go to summer camp!"

"Have fun without me guys," Mina said with her shoulders slumped. 

"I can help you study. I did pretty well in the entrance exams," I said, putting a hand on her arm. 

"Really!" Mina yelled with excitement.

"I can help too," Momo offered. "We can have a study group at my house." 

"You're the best Momo!!" 

"Thank you so much!" 

"Maybe I should go too," Kirishima said. 

"No way dumb hair! You and I are studying together!" 

"Please Bakubro," Kirishima asked with puppy eyes. Bakugou, although not easily, gave in. 

"Fine," He said, rolling his eyes. 

"Let's make a group chat!" Mina yelled, pulling out her phone. Everyone agreed and gave her their contact information. 

"What kind of tea do you guys like? Ooh, we can use the great hall! It should fit everyone," Momo said while she clapped her hands. I can't tell if she's bragging or just doesn't realize. 

*** Later

❤Mina❤: Do you want to walk to Momo's together :)

Me: Yeah that would be great

❤Mina❤: I'll meet you at your place

I shut off my phone with a giddy smile on my face. I could feel butterflies fluttering about I'm my stomach. I got up and took a quick shower, brushing my teeth when I got out. I went through my clothes, trying to decide what type of clothes I wanted to wear. I decided on a black crop-top hoodie with a pastel pink heart, a matching pink skirt, some accessories, pink and black thigh highs, and my black boots. Satisfied with the outfit, I walked downstairs. I heard a knock on the door and thought 'perfect timing.' I sent a glance to my parents that said 'act normal.' 

I opened the door and smiled brightly. "Hey, Y/n," the angel at my doorstep said. 

"Hi," I replied just as sweetly. She looked me up and down and said "You look cute." I turned a shade of pink that matched my outfit. 

"I'm leaving now. Bye-bye," I said waving to my parents before walking out the door. Mina kept up most of the conversation by asking questions about me and talking about herself when I asked. I can't say I didn't expect it but I was thrown off when she grabbed my hand in the middle of me answering her question.

"My favorite movie is-" I flushed and looked at the hand now holding mine. "Fm/n..." I finished quietly, putting the hand Mina wasn't holding in front of my face to hide my blush. 

"You're really cute, Y/n," Mina said in a low voice. She wore a gentle smile that sent those stupid butterflies fluttering in my stomach.  "Oh look, we're here!" Mina said letting go of my hand and running up to the group that just arrived. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at the loss of her hand in mine.
