ThunderClan was the first to arrive, as the clan broke into small groups BlazingFlame padded to a shady spot, feeling hidden he began to doze. It seemed like a few heartbeats until he was woken by the clamor outside of his hidden area, SkyClan arrived as they ran down the slope. BlazingFlame padded out from his hidden area he was about to head towards his clanmates until he was knocked over, a Skyclan tom was standing over him who seemed extremely embarrassed as he just knocked a cat from another clan over. The tom jumped off of BlazingFlame, letting the tom get up. "I'm so sorry! This is my first gathering as a warrior, I didn't expect to knock down a warrior! Please forgive me!" The tom spoke, clearly embarrassed from his actions. BlazingFlame was about to tear into the tom but chose not to, seeing that he was already embarrassed as it was. "No worries, but do be careful from now on. I don't want to see you knocking over any other cats." BlazingFlame meowed breezily, the tom looked grateful. "May.. May I sit with you? My clanmates don't really like me that much, they think I'm annoying." The tom asked, looking at the bunch of SkyClan cats with sorrow. The offer took BlazingFlame by surprise, nodding to the tom he led the Skyclan cat to a clear area, far enough away from both clans. "I never got your name, I'm SunFall by the way." The SkyClan tom said, looking at BlazingFlame. "I'm BlazingFlame, you've got a nice name SunFall." BlazingFlame meowed smoothly. Sunfall looked away quickly, heat radiating from his pelt. After a while the other clans showed up and the gathering began. SwiftStar, the leader of RiverClan spoke first. Then CloudStar of ShadowClan spoke, then PeralStar of Windclan and lastly HazelStar of SkyClan, all of them talked about the normal stuff, prey, twolegs and kittypets. As CrowStar moved forward to speak, BlazingFlame didn't know if he would mention the prophecy. "The prey is running well in our forest, we have a new apprentice, StormPaw!" The clans erupted in cheers, chanting the new apprentice's name. CrowStar began up again, "Our medicine cat, BlackBelly has unfortunate news, StarClan has spoken." Nodding to the she-cat for her to speak. BlackBelly stepped forward, clearing her throat she began, "SpottedDream, the former medicine cat in thunderclan came to me the other time and told me of a prophecy, 'A Blazing Star will shine us through the darkest night' a great danger to the clans is coming, we must look for a Flame colored cat with green eyes at once! For it is the only way to save us." BlackBelly meowed, her voice ringing throughout the gathering hollow. Gasps of shock rippled through the clans, clearly no cat thought there would be a new prophecy anytime soon, the only skirmishes were about the borders, and those are simple! "Hey! BlazingFlame has a flame colored pelt and green eyes! Could he be the cat we need?" CherrySpring called, everycat seemed to turn their heads towards the tom. Why couldn't she keep her mouth shut! BlazingFlame thought embarrassed. TideStep, a RiverClan Warrior who was known for her gentle heart, stood up, "He may have the color of his pelt and his eyes, but that doesn't mean he's the only cat in the clans with those colors. Perhaps we're meant to look outside of the clans?" TideStep meowed, she was speaking with reason and most of the cats turned towards the cats beside them. The hollow was filled with soft muttering. BlazingFlame couldn't help but feel eyes were still on him, burning into his pelt. Looking around he spotted the Deputy, Sweet'Song glaring at him with such rage he didn't know what to do. BlazingFlame got up and quickly left the hollow, going to the edge of the island where the gatherings were always held. He watched the water slowly move downstream. Suddenly the bushes rustled and there came a worried SunFall. "A-are you okay? You ran out so quick, it was so sudden.." Sunfall meowed as he sat next to BlazingFlame, the two toms were close, so close their pelts touched. BlazingFlame didn't know how to respond, he felt fine. But at the same time, he didn't. "I-I'm not sure SunFall, I feel fine but I-.." BlazingFlames mew faded away. The two just sat there, CherrySpring bounded through the bush behind the two toms and almost knocked SunFall in the river. "BlazingFl-.. Who's this?" CherrySpring meowed as she glared at SunFall who seemed to shrink in his pelt. BlazingFlame gazed at the she-cat, a tiny bit irritated but shrugged it off. "This is SunFall, he's a SkyClan warrior." BlazingFlame meowed, nodding to the tom. CherrySpring snorted, turning back to BlazingFlame. "ThunderClan is leaving, we should get going BlazingFlame." CherrySpring meowed stiffly. Exchanging goodbyes with the SkyClan tom, the two thunderclan cats head out and catch up with their clanmates. CherrySpring and BlazingFlame were near the end of the group, the journey was slow so it was a good time to chat with friends. "Why did you seem so close with that SkyClan tom?" CherrySpring meowed, watching BlazingFlame. BlazingFlame was annoyed with her but never showed any sign of it. "He was just being nice. That's all there is to it." BlazingFlame snorted crossly. Is there more to it? No. He's just being nice, BlazingFlame thought. CherrySpring said no more, thankfully. As the Clan reached the camp BlazingFlame went straight to his nest, curling up he began to think of the SkyClan tom. No! I can't think of him, he's a tom and a cat from another clan as a fact! BlazingFlame hissed in his mind. BlazingFlame drifted into sleep.
