[💭] Unofficial (SKZ OT8 x Reader)

Author's POV:

It has been a couple days since the 4 of you told your fellow bean about your plan and they were instantly on board with it. So now, the 5 of you were in your mother's basement, split into groups based on your strongest points. You were paired with Casey and Rachel combing through songs while Amber and Hope were watching some dance practice videos.

"Hmm, what do you think about this mixed with Miroh?" The woman beside you asked, looking back at the one who had their editing software up so you all could hear what they could come up with. A couple clicks later, Rachel hit play on what they had done to try and mix Side Effects and Miroh together. "Yeesh, forget I said anything."

"Yeah, they're both too dance-y. We need songs that have the same-ish BPM." You commented before your hunt continued.

"How are you two doing?" Casey asked as she looked over to the others sat on the other side of the room.

"Better than you it seems." Hope teased, smirking playfully at the elder.

"Show us then." The mother of the group suggested, smiling sweetly back at them. Hope's face dropped before she shook her head lightly. "That's what I thought."

"In our defence, we need the music to come up with the choreography. Unlike their songs, Hope and I can easily come up with a something with their moves." Amber cut in, earning a nod in agreement from her partner. A hum soon came from your groups producer and all the attention was soon on them.

"I think I have something." They said, unplugging the headphone splitter from the laptop and hitting play.

Stray Kids' 'Road Not Taken' began to play with undertones of 'STOP' coming through. It was sounding good up until Seungmin's "I'll go where ever I wanna go", where instead of the original beat drop being there, the small drop after Felix's opening to Miroh began, soon letting Chan's voice be heard before Rachel pressed pause. The 4 of you just stared at your young bean.

"Uh- I-It's not a lot, but it sounded much better in my head..." They mumbled as they plugged the headphones back in.

"No, hun, that sounded great!" Casey assured, smiling widely at her group mate.

"Really?"

"Hell yeah! Now we all have a starting point! Just let us know if anything changes, yeah?" Hope told them as her and Amber got to work. Both you and Casey turned back to huddle into a group.

Dusk soon fell and the 5 of you were making amazing progress! You, Casey and Rachel were passed the hurdle of finding something to compliment Miroh, that being some lyrics from Side Effects instead of the instrumental. Amber and Hope were now up and practicing the choreo, throwing some of their own in there too.

"Alright ladies, I think it's time we called it quits for today."  The eldest called out as she stretched her arms above her head with a yawn.

"Aww, but I'm in the zoneee." Amber whined as she pieced together some more choreo.

"I'll have to agree with Amber, I'm really into this part of the song." The bean chimed in as they slipped their headphones back on their ears. The eldest shook her head slightly before looking at the you and the other girl.

"Do you two want anything to eat?" She offered and the pair of you nodded. She nodded back before glancing over to the huffing girl near Hope. "Can I interest you in a quick snack, Amber?"

"Uhh, I guess." She replied as she came to a halt with her dancing. "Do you have any apples?"

"Might do. I'll go check." And with that, Casey got up from her spot and wandered over and up the stairs. You glanced back over to Rachel to see how they were doing, but they were on their phone with a blank face. You reached over and lightly grazed their arm to get their attention. They hummed in acknowledgement.

"You okay? You seem kinda sad." You asked, getting a sigh in response as the bean put their phone down.

"Just Aaron being weird again." They told you before focussing back on their laptop.

"He's being weird?" You questioned, getting a nod from Rachel. "Weird how?"

"He keeps on saying I don't love him anymore because we're doing a tribute for the boys." They answered and you couldn't help but snort.

"Is he serious?" You pressed before bursting into a fit of giggles. "I knew he was crazy but Jesus Christ! He's straight up delulu!"

"Who's straight up delulu?" One of the girls on the other side of the room chimed in, tilting her head at the two of you.

"Uh- No one! Just some random kid on TikTok!" Rachel answered, glancing over to you for back up.

"Yeah. She was one of Them stans." You added, rolling your eyes while shaking your head. Hope cringed before putting her focus back onto her partner. You heard your partner sigh before looking back over to them.

"Hey, he'll get over it eventually. Don't let him bring you down with his bullshit." You assured, softly laying your hand on their forearm. They slowly nodded as they let out a soft breath, but you could tell they were still on edge. "Look, how about we take a small break. Grab some snacks and see if Casey needs any help." You suggested, getting another nod from the bean. You smiled and stood up first, helping them up soon after. "Hey girls, we're gonna go see if Casey is okay." You told the other two, who just made random noises in response.
