"Class we have a new transfer student joining us today." This is the first thing her teacher says that catches the complete attention of the class.
Laying her headphones around her neck and brushing some stray hair behind her ear she looks up at her teacher, curious about this new student.
"Go ahead Emily. Why don't you introduce yourself?" Looking over to the new student now known as Emily she begins observing her. She has pink hair, so another one with a unique hair colour, and she is standing completely frozen in front of the class.
"alright!" The new student radiates nervousness which makes her instantly feel bad for Emily.
"Uh.." Emily just looks at the class, seemingly not sure of what to say.
"Is this charades? Are we supposed to guess? Cause I'm real good at guessing!" Comes from just to the left in front of her.
Of Course Kelsey has to 'save' the new student from this awkward situation.
"Oh, sorry! I pledge allegiance to the flag of the- Oh no, wait a minute, no what I meant is um..." Emily begins to ramble about a flag? Now she can say for certain Emily is a ball of nerves. "I'm Emily, it's a pleasure to meet you!" She almost screams out with a bit of mumbeling afterwards as she does a small bow.
"You're kidding. That's it?" Kelsey says with disbelieve. "Huh?" Emily looks up, being the only one not used to Kelsey and her behaviour. "That's just not gonna cut it!" Kelsey says as she stands up from her desk.
"I know. How about letting me do your introduction for you?" Kelsey says casually, like it's a normal thing, sending a thumbs up to Emily. But it's Kelsey so what was to be expected?
"What..?" Emily looks really confused now, but she also has a look of astonishment? The emotion is gone as fast as it appeared so she thinks nothing of it.
"Let's see now." Kelsey being Kelsey doesn't notice the expression or just doesn't care and happily goes through with her introduction of our new student.
"Your name's Emily and you're not very good at public speaking." Way to point out the obvious Kels...
"I'm really not like this-'' Emily tries to intervene and save herself from further emberrasment. It was a good try, till Kelsey had to cut her off, completely ignoring her.
"And you're a transfer student and you're pleased to meet us, yaddy, yada.." Kelsey says disinterested. "Oh yeah I almost forgot... and you wave your hands a lot!" Kelsey finishes, making almost everybody laugh. Emily did bring it upon herself by waving her hands in front of her the whole time to try and stop Kelsey.
Emily laughs a bit nervously as she has no idea what just happened. "See how well that worked? You're a hit already!"
She can't help but give a deadpanned expression at Kelsey as if saying 'really? Embarrassing the new student in front of the whole class on her first day?' Kelsey catches it and just gives a grin in response. Good mindset Kelsey...
"Kelsey." Someone says as they try to get her attention. "Why don't you leave the poor kid alone already?"
Recognising the voice. She looks over at April to see her staring at Kelsey with a bored and slightly disapproving look.
She turns back to Emily to see her staring at April like she had with Kelsey. This time it seems to lean more to recognition though. But that's impossible, she doesn't know anybody in this class. Right? So she tries to brush it off again.
"Stop giving her such a hard time." Chloe being the ever helpful person wants to make it less hard for Emily as well. "Yeah, it's her first day, no wonder she's nervous."
