"Yunjin unnie may bago kang gitara?" Eunchae greeted me as soon as she got home. Hopping, she's energetic as always.

"Yes, Baby"

"Nasaan na 'yung luma?"

"Hihiramin mo? Look for it in my room"

"Okay unnie, magbibihis lang ako"

Sinundan ko lang s'ya ng tingin hanggang sa isara n'ya ang pinto ng kwarto n'ya. I seldom stay outside my room– actually kaming lahat ay ganoon– but this time I guess I would love to spend my time in the living room much more. I wanna spend time with our youngest na hindi lang dance practice at recording session ang ginagawa namin together

"Done~~~" she says in a sing-song manner as she hop from her room to mine "Gusto ko makabuo ng song, unnie. Kaya ko na siguro mag-improvise ng lyrics pero gusto ko rin matuto maglapat ng music" sabi n'ya bago tumabi sakin bitbit ang lumang gitara ko.

And when I looked at her, I saw her slightly pouting.

"Didn't I see you play some chords before?"

"Eh? Basic chords lang 'yun unnie, sawa na rin ko sa All of Me at Perfect kasi 'yun lang 'yung may chord na alam ko" I laughed on what I heard.

"You can have that guitar of mine para you can practice every free day lahat ng maiituro ko sa'yo" I told her. Receiving a wide and genuine smile from her is all it takes for me to be inspired to teach her.

"Alam mo ba, unnie, may drum pad app ako sa phone. My classmate has it and ipina-try n'ya sa'kin. Masyado akong nag-enjoy nung una kaso nahiya naman ako na ako nalang nang ako yung gumamit no'n so nagdownload nalang ako ng akin tapos dun nag-explore." she shared

"You're creating beats na rin?" I asked, showing extra amusement in my reaction. The kid loves it. Reacting like this is a simple way to boost her confidence. Don't get me wrong, I'm all sincere here.

"Yes! Kapag ako natuto ng lahat ng instruments, pwede ba collab tayo sa future?" she sweetly ask

"Ofcourse! You know what? That's right, if you're interested in something, keep on exploring it kasi you are unconsciously growing by doing them again and again" I told her

She tried barre chords today. I also gave her some information about music theories and how every note structure builds up a chord. Pero syempre hangga't maari ay hindi ko pinapaabot sa punto na nagututunog boring professor ako.

Eunchae is determined to learn. That's what made me more patient to teach her everything I know. I even gave her song pieces for her to try practicing the shifting in chords in a given time signature. Telling her how strumming patterns matter and doesn't matter at the same time.

"Sakit na ng kamay ko unnie" she says after more than an hour of practicing

"You can rest na" I told her "Mamaya or bukas may kalyo ka na agad sa tip ng fingers mo"

"Talaga?"

"Oo, it's an evidence of your hard work" nakangiting sabi ko

"I'll try playing ulit bukas bago tayo pumunta ng dance practice room" she said

"Okay, try knocking on my door kapag wala ako sa labas by that time"

"Free ka ba ng ganung oras unnie?" she asked

Just like what I told her, doing something repetitively makes people's skill grow more. I serve as her mentor, she serves as my experience refresher. I may have learned before that I already forgot to apply today.

"Ofcourse, Baby, call me and we'll grow together day by day"
