I wasn't really excited at once when Mom told me I'm going to a college in Gardenia. I was pretty mad instead.
"But Mom. I don't want to go to Gardenia. I loved it here and I don't want to leave my friends!" I shrieked. I think I may have blown it up.
Mom stared at me and kept quiet. At this moment, I knew she must be wondering if I'm the daughter she wanted or is that I was mixed with the other babies at the hospital......
"Lisa Manoban....." Mom pauses, and she looked away for awhile. I turned to my too sweet and obedient daughterly self. Mom looked exhausted.
I felt sorry for her actually. Dad left us as soon I was born and didn't bother to even come back all these years. It's not like I hate him (maybe a little but still!) it's just I wanted to feel the love of a father.
"Mom, I don't want to leave you alone." I said, pulling her into a hug. My eyes were almost watering at the thought of going so away from her but I held them in as I do rarely cry even as a baby. I'm weird.
"Oh Lili....." Mom again pauses; my panic instinct shot right in and my palms turned to fists and clenched my teeth. I'm not the angry type but I guessed I am.
"Oh Lili, I'll always love you. But I already made the plans and Mrs Solar had already agreed to take you as a transfer student as you're a bright student. Lili please do it." Mom looked at me, puppy eyed and I just stared at her totally stunned.
I thought for awhile. I'm still against the idea. The college I'm transferred to is very big and prestigious one and it only accepted rich young teens.
Mom and I are like billionaires but I don't show off as usual. I tend to tease than to annoy or something. Mom is a tyrant. A wealthy one!
"I'm not so sure Mom. I'm unwilling to upset you or Mrs Solar but I need more time since this is unexpected." I say, and she nodded before leaving my room.
I heard of Mrs Solar but never met her. I heard that she's a kind but a strict lady and is currently the principal of Gardenia's College.
It was way pass lunch so I took my phone and texted my all time friend, Bambam! It was really good to be friends with him.
We met like in kindergarten because I was puking all over him after having breakfast beans. Yuck! Anyway I apologized and we became inseparable after that. He's rich, cool and funny. Totally my type but I do not like him romantically.
Besides, he already have a girlfriend. I am happy for him because he's like single for a long time and I wished to take my words back because he teased me all the time as I'm single.
