Chapter 1-welcome to Hogwarts

Y/N pov
It was around 8:30 in the morning, the sun was illuminating the school grounds around you, reflecting shadows of the famous building, nerves impaled your stomach as you waited to make an entrance into Hogwarts high school. Hundreds of students were making their way into the hall for breakfast, you felt rather out of place as you were the only one not wear a coloured school uniform, symbolic of which house you belonged too. As each student passed by they took curious glances and then whispered to their friends " look over there, she must be a new student", or something along those lines, it was irritating but you knew it would just be worse if you said anything, so in willingness to avoid conflict you kept your mouth shut and prepared for hundreds of eyes to be on you as you walked in.

Matheo's pov
Once again I was in the great hall of Hogwarts high school, surrounded by annoying adolescents, specifically the younger students, 1st and 2nd years. Although, it wasn't all bad due to my idiot friends making their entrance shortly after me,
"hey Matheo, I heard there was a new girl coming today" announced Draco,
"oh yeah, I saw her outside the school waiting for Dumbledore" replied my best friend Theo Nott.
"A new girl huh, intriguing" I replied, hoping that perhaps this mystery girl could make the next few months less boring.
"Hey guyyys" exclaimed Pansy as she made her way over to the group, along with Blaise and Enzo. Everyone welcomed them with a "hey" or "hi" and then went back to the previous conversation about this new girl.
"I hope she's hot" said Draco with a smirk,
"As if she would go out with you anyway mate," said Pansy in reply
"Fuck off, why wouldn't she?" defended Draco
"Cuz you're a fucking weirdo" I joked, making the others laugh, including Draco because he knew it was just banter.
Then Theo caught my attention by saying "Wait guys look it's Dumbledoor, I bet he's going to announce her in a sec"
Everyone took their seats at the tables and waited for all the professors to make their way to the front of the hall, deciding that this was boring, I pulled out my book and started to read through the last few chapters, I was supposed to finish it over the weekend for potions class, however I got a little distracted as pansy decided to throw a party on Saturday night. Everyone was pretty pissed so I'm guessing I'm not the only one who didn't finish it (*if your not British, pissed means drunk*) .

"QUIET" ordered Dumbledore loudly in a gentle yet demanding tone,
"We have a new student joining us today, she is a 6th year student, I hope your all welcoming towards her" ,
at this point my attention was draw away from my book and towards the doors as I saw the girls shadow come round the corner.
"Welcome Y/N Granger" announced Dumbledoor, causing hundreds of confused whispers to circulate the room after hearing the second name Granger.
Then she walked in.
With a nervous look on her face, fiddling with the hem of her skirt, she made her way towards the sorting hat.
"Holy shit, she is hot" spoke Draco
" yeah but look at her, there is no way a girl like that is being sorted into Slytherin" replied Blaise, making the others nod in agreement,
" she's definitely a Hufflepuff or maybe a Ravenclaw, unfortunately not Slytherin" I said
"That's a shame cuz she's definitely your type Matheo" smirked Theo,
"Fuck off theo" I said while jokingly pushing him, he wasn't wrong though, she was definitely my type.
"Guys shut up she's about to be sorted" ordered pansy.
We all waited for that stupid hat to sort her already, everyone seemed to lose interest as we were all certain she wasn't a Slytherin, but I was still intrigued for some reason, i guess I was hoping that maybe she just look innocent and is really a Slytherin.
Finally, the hat started talking " mmm this one is difficult, very difficult, I see you already have family in Gryffindor but I don't think that would suit you"

" I think... SLYTHERIN"

Once again another round of whispers circulated the room, I couldn't help but smirk at the fact that a girl like her ended up in Slytherin, she must have a hidden side, I'm officially intrigued.
"looks like your in luck Matheo" said Enzo also with a smirk on his face, patting me on the shoulder,
"Not if I get to her first" responded Theo
"Really Theo, you have no chance if I decide that I want her" I replied in a low, cocky tone.
Before Theo could get another word in pansy decided to call the girl over, who was stood looking very out of place and unwelcome.
"Hey new girl, come here" she yelled waving an arm at her, the girl smiled at pansy, god she has a pretty smile, and started to approach the group.
