The Cullens had caused quite a stir when they arrived at Forks High School, home of the Spartans.

That was because each and every one of them was beautiful.

Roslie, Jasper, and Edward all stood out amongst the crowd.

Rosalie due to her unearthly beauty, and Jasper and Edward because they were both handsome and single amongst the Cullen group.

Everyone was well aware that Rosalie and Emmett were dating as they made it obvious the first day of school with a heady makeout session in the parking lot just before school began.

Alice and Jesame were always around each other, sharing soft pecks here and there that made it very apparent that the two girls were dating.

Rosalie- who was technically a Hale and not a Cullen- looked like the stunning blonde on the cover of a magazine brought to life, with the photoshop included. Emmett was a giant bear of a guy that easily stood inches above the tallest non-Cullen boy in school- a football player who was 6'2" named Philip.

Alice was a tiny pixie of a girl with choppy dark brown hair that had been sheared short. Everything about her seemed almost elfin in nature, from the way she walked, the way she talked, and even the way she laughed. Everything about her was small and elegant, and her happy attitude she always sported made many compare her to a fairy.

Jesame was a tall girl, standing at about 5'11" with pale, dark skin. While Alice was more like a fairy, Jesame was more like an amazonian woman with lithe muscles all along her body. Unlike Alice who had short hair, Jesame's hair fell well past her waist in wild curls that looked next to impossible to tame.

Jasper was the second tallest of the Cullen boys- though he was technically a Hale- at 6'3" compared to Emmett's scary 6'5", and was sculpted like a Greek statue, though no one could see it as he always wore long sleeves that he buttoned up to the very top button. His hair fell just past his chin in honey blond waves that looked easy to manage.

Lastly was Edward, the shortest- at 6'2- and leanest of the Cullen brothers, held lithe muscles comparable to Jesame's, though where Jesame had bulk, Edward was more cat-like in his build. Lean, lithe, but strong. He stood out a bit amongst his siblings with his stark bronze hair that had strands that almost shined gold in the sunlight- not that anyone at Forks ever saw the Cullens in the sun.

The rest of the school thought that this was it, the Cullens would be the epitome of beauty until they all graduated and moved onto better pastures. In fact, they never expected anyone else to reach the beauty that the Cullens- and the Hales- could.

That was until Harrison Evans started school a year after the Cullens had arrived.

Everyone was excited to the point that Jasper would practically feel the excitement buzzing beneath his skin, even though he did not care about the new student.

Jasper was perfectly fine with ignoring yet another beating heart tempting him to drink for yet another year. One more student added to the masses mattered little when all Jasper could focus on was the beating of everyone's hearts and the sound of blood running through everyone's veins.

Yet as he watched a black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 drive by him, he could only feel confusion.

Whomever was driving the car was a giant void as far as emotions went. It was not like the person couldn't feel emotions, or that Jasper's power did not work on that person, but it was more like the person didn't feel anything.

Even as the loudness of the car's engine died down after it had been parked, the person inside seemed to feel absolutely nothing.

No nervousness about joining a new school. No excitement to be meeting new people. Just a stark, eerie blankness that admittedly unnerved Jasper.
