Questions, they've always asked questions...this race called man, on this planet, they called Earth. Passionately longing to know how they are connected to the heavens. In ages past, they looked to us as gods, for indeed, we saved them from calamity many times.

We tried to show them how their world was but one of the Nine Realms of the Cosmos, linked to all others by the branches of Yggdrasil...the Worlds Tree.

Nine Realms in a universe of wonder, beauty, and terror that they barely comprehended. But for all their thirst for knowledge, they let our lessons fall into myth and dreams.

Banners hung on either side to form a corridor down the middle of a fire-lit room. Giant doors opened at one end.

Thor walked forward.

Hammer in hand, Thor reached the end of a raised platform.

An attendant handed Thor a goblet of wine.

Thor downed it quickly, hurling it toward the fire directly below. "Another!" he declared.

The cup smashed, and the alcohol caused the fire to glow intensely.

Thor proceeded down the steps and the center of the Hall.

As Thor approached, from the shadow at the side, Loki emerged, wearing his horned headpiece. Like Thor, Loki was dressed for a great ceremony.

The brothers stood at the foot of the steps that led up to the crowded throne room.

"Nervous, brother?" Loki asked.

"Have you ever known me to be nervous?" Thor questioned.

"There was the time in Nornheim..."

"That wasn't nerves, brother. It was the rage of battle. How else could I have fought through a hundred warriors and pulled us out alive?"

The attendant approached with another goblet of wine for Thor.

"As I recall, I was the one who veiled us in smoke to ease our escape," Loki noted.

"Some do battle, others do tricks," Thor said.

The Attendant stifled a laugh.

Loki noticed and didn't like it. He gestured towards the goblet in the Attendant's hand.

Eels poured over the sides of the goblet, slithering out and across the terrified Attendant's hand.

The Attendant screamed, hurling the goblet to the ground.

Loki chuckled.

"Loki..." a slim black-haired woman claimed as she approached the two princes.

Loki gestured to the writhing eels on the ground.

The Eels turned back to spilled wine, and the illusion shattered.

"Now that was just a waste of good wine," Thor muttered.

"Just a bit of fun, Nightingale," Loki told the girl, looking to the Attendant. "Right, my friend?"

The Attendant wasn't so sure.

Thor donned his Eagle-Winged helmet.

"Nice feathers," Loki mused.

"You don't want to start this again, do you, Cow?" Nightingale asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"I was being sincere!"

"You're incapable of sincerity,"

"Am I?" Loki kissed her until they heard a blast of a Ceremonial horn.
