A year and some months later

"Happy birthday to you," we all sing standing around my kitchen as I bring out a race car cake. My little gray is 5 years old today. Once we all got done with our horrible signing. Gray smiles brightly at us.

"Make a wish bud!" Jax said, smiling at him. Gray closes his eyes and blows out his candles. We all cheer and smile.

"Now we can have cake!" Psycho said, pushing everyone out the way as he helped Gray cut his cake. I roll my eyes. I swear he is a bigger child than the ones I have. He is 26 and acts like he is 5.

"Fat ass!'' Jax said, making Emerald giggle in his arms. It's still her favorite place to be. I still glare at my kid sometimes. Lucky girl.

I stand off and look at the people in the crowded kitchen, smiling and laughing. This past year has been a wild ride that's for sure. But the good kind of wild.

After we finally were discharged from the hospital, we came home and Gramps, Psycho, and Will stayed with us for 3 weeks to help make sure we could handle ourselves. It was ruff and I was close to killing everyone but it was nice, not that I would admit that out loud. After that most things went back to normal. We both went back to work, kids were in school, and we started to live our normal lives again.

A couple months later, the trail started for three people, I despise. With the information dad had, the shit we had recorded in their voices, and the pictures of us after the fact, they were found guilty. Mom got life with no chance of parole. Marshall got 20 years with a chance of parole in 15 years. Carlos was sentenced to 5 life sentences. He ended up being killed 3 months later in jail. He was shanked. I can't say he didn't deserve it. It was nice to hear those words come from the jury and the sentences they got from the judge. It brought me peace knowing they can't hurt anyone else.

Lou and Ethan are now living next door to us in Jax's old house. They are back together but they both agree they will never get married again. Ethan got a job at the police station with Jax as a part time patrol officer. He said he was old and just wanted something to do. Lou is just loving her life as a nana and comes to the bar with me sometimes just to get out the house.

Lonnie and Mags are the same as they always have been. Lonnie has become Jax's right hand man at the station. Mags still hovers and makes sure everyone is still alive. She has got to where she comes to my house and starts cleaning. I didn't know she was here one day and about to have a heart attack.

Psycho and Will are actually getting married in a couple of months. After almost 9 years Psycho got the balls to ask him. I had to help his stupid ass do most of it. I went with him to pick out the ring, help him set up their date, and recorded the whole thing. I earned my best friend title that day. They are also talking about adopting a kid, just one. They said they have 4 nieces and nephews and one is enough for them. Until then they will just steal my kids.

Elle and Ashton also moved down here permanently, too. Elle got a job at my gramps company as his secretary, which he pays her over triple then anyone else. They both moved in a small house down the road. Ashton comes over everyday after school to hang out with the boys. Silver has punched a boy at school already for pushing her down. Jax picked them up and took them for ice cream. Silver is very protective of her and Emerald. The guys all say it's a guy thing. Whatever that means.

Gramps has became everyone's gramps. He loves it. He sold his big lonely house and found one on our street. So now our whole family lives on the same street. I think we all like each other more than we should, even though all we do is bicker back and forth. Gramps has become my kids favorite person, he takes them to get ice cream once a week, picks them up from school just because he is bored, and makes sure on birthdays and Christmas' are the best. He doesn't spoil them with gifts much, but spoils them with his time.

Lastly, my Jax. he is still my peace. He still looks at me like I am the sun and moon. That man owns my whole being. He works hard but once it is 6 PM, he comes home to his family. He is more protective of us but it just makes me feel loved. He is my best friend. I plan to spend the rest of my life with him. If he would ever ask. Damn man takes forever. I have been waiting and I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to do it for him.

"What are you thinking about sweets?" Gramps said coming to stand next to me. I smile at him and lay my head on his shoulder.

"Just about how far we have come, and how if my boyfriend doesn't ask me to marry him soon, I'm going to do it for him," I said , rolling my eyes.

"I could see that, my impatient little one. Have patients sweets you don't know what tomorrow could bring," he said, kissing my head. He walks over to Lonnie who is calling his name.

"Yah know darling you're staring at them like a stalker, again,'' Jax said, coming behind me and hugging me from behind me.

"Yeah well I like to watch everyone happy," I said softly. I watch as the Psycho gets tackled by all the kids. Will is standing there laughing at him. I look over at Ethan, Lonnie and Gramps laughing at something, drinking their beers. Maggie, Lou, and Elle are drinking wine gossiping about the town's drama.

"Are you happy darling?" he asked, leaning his head on my neck. I lean my body weight on him and sigh.

"The happiest girl on earth," I said softly.

"That's all I can ask for," he said, kissing my neck. You know what fuck it. I'm impatient. I have waited long enough.

"Let's get married, angel," I blurted out. He stops kissing my neck and chuckles. He lifts his head out of my neck and spins me around to face him.

"You couldn't have waited one more week darling?" he asked amused. I give him a confused look, so he counts, "you are the most impatient, stubborn, and crazy ass woman I know. I was going to ask you next weekend but no you had to do it first, huh?" he asked, shaking his head with a smile.

"You asshole, I ask you to marry me, you call me names!" I said glaring.

"You didn't ask, you told me," he said, smirking.

"Well fuck, we don't have to," i said glaring.

He chuckles and shakes his head no, "Darling you're not getting rid of me that easily. You're marrying me, and we are going to spend the rest of our wild lives together," he said, crashing his lips on mine. I smile into the kiss just like he does. Well fuck I'm getting married.

I have learned one thing through all this, ups and downs in your life are going to happen. You are going to stand up and get knocked back down. Shit is going to bite you in the ass. But the most important thing I learned is you get to choose who will stand with you through it all. I found my people. My three babies, my two stepped- up dads, two crazy moms, one old gramps, my two best friends who have been by my side since day one, a sweet sister in law with a wine problem, and cheekly little niece, and my Jax. Those are my people who walk through this life with.

This shit is a wild life and it's my favorite kind.
