Once I had the thing on, I was sitting in the car on my way to school. This is my first time going out in a while. I looked down at the folder my mother gave me last night.
Name: Lexi Johnson
From: Miami
Reason to move here: Parents jobs
Parents work: Owners of a small company, now under the Carter family.I thought back to my mother this morning.
"Be careful. That is an expensive suit. Costs thousands. You are attending an expensive school, so with your cover, you won't be even close to the top of social standing but I didn't want you to be at the bottom of the pit either".
Davis University.
Now I'll be surrounded by rich people. There is barely ever anybody with a scholarship that attends the school. Everyone there believes to be the elite of the elite.
"Now I'm going to be among the snobbiest of the snobby." I muttered. My insides twisted in nerves.
The Davis family is one of the only families that is on par with my father.
We are not enemies, and even recently my parents have been working on having good relations with them.
I tried my best to shake off my nerves. I'm Lexi Carter. No one is better than me..... except maybe everyone in this school.
The car stopped and I looked out the window to see a large castle-like building in front of me. It was now or never.
I got out of the car and began towards the school with a burst of confidence, but it was immediately extinguished when a group of guys crossed my path in the middle of the entrance hall.
"What is that?" Someone said. I looked up from that map I was holding. The guys stopped and stood in front of me. Everyone in the ballroom size entrance hall quieted down to listen in.
"Excuse me." I said, trying to get past them.
"Where did you come out of?" Another voice said. Suddenly, a flawless looking guy came out of a set of doors and slowly began walking over.
All the girls began to fawn over him.
"look!! It's Matthew!!!"
"He looks so good in the uniform!
"How does someone so beautiful exist!"
"He is perfect!"Even I could tell he was stunning for someone our age. However, I could tell he wasn't approaching me to be friends.
"My parents don't strike me as the type to let in someone so revolting." he said, and stopped right in front of me. Everyone began laughing. Oh no he didn't. Not to the Lexi Carter. It would be better to shut up, but my pride got the best of me.
"Then why are you here?" I said back. Everyone froze in shock. His eyes widened, then he began glaring at me.
"Do you know who I am?" He said. I felt as if he was pulling the oxygen out of the air, and filling it with anger.
"Don't you think that if I cared, I would have bothered to know?" I said. Everyone stared in horror at our conflict.
"My parents own this school. From the looks of it, your parents can't afford for you to be expelled on the first day." It was then that I realized what he meant. Matthew Davis, heir of the Davis family. I internally cursed myself, but it was too late to stop.
"From the looks of it, you don't know when to shut up. I already said that I. Don't. Care." With that, I looked back down at my map and walked off to my first class nonchalantly. Internally though, I was screaming.
Way to make the most popular guy in school absolutely hate me.

I sat at a lunch table, more like a lunch couch, at the back of the lounge and stared down at my food. So far, no one bothered to talk to me, but did take the chance to make fun of me while they thought I wasn't paying attention.
Classes were so easy since it was all material I started to look at a little over a year ago. I sighed and played with my food.
"Hello. My name is Amanda. You must be new here." A thin girl sat across from me and smiled. She had braces, glasses, and her hair was done in two braids.
"Hi. I'm Lexi." I said. She smiled.
"That's a really nice name." she said.
"Thanks." I said. I didn't really know how to make friends, since I was always inside my house.
Before things got too awkward, girls all over the lounge began getting louder and trying to fix their makeup. Amanda and I looked over to see Matthew and his friends come into the lounge and sit at a reserved table in the middle of the room.
"Isn't he gorgeous?" Amanda said. I nodded.
"Yeah, but a complete asshole." I said. We watched him from the back of the room as he soaked in all the attention he received.
"Once he talked to me. He asked if he could borrow a pen," she said.
"Lucky you." I said sarcastically. Matthew suddenly met eyes with me and he grinned.
"Woah! He is looking at you." Amanda said, oblivious to my annoyance with Matt.
"Not always a good thing" I said, and tried to look away before anything started. I hoped he would ignore me, but as I feared, he was suddenly at our table.
"Look. The two ugliest people in school sitting together. I guess it can't be helped." he said. I looked over at Amanda as everyone laughed. She was looking down with a red face, as if this always happened.
"Lay off." I said. "I'll only say it once."
He laughed.
"Or what? You'll kill me by sitting on me? You elephant." He smiled. I was taken back from the comment. Yes I had a fat suit on, but it wasn't an insane amount of weight, just a little fuller than I would be typically. Even then, I couldn't believe someone would say things like that right in someone's face.
"You're right, I won't. But you should be more careful about who you mess with" I said angrily.
I stood up, grabbed Amanda's hand, and pulled her out of the lounge. Thankfully no one followed, but their laughter did.
"Little prick." I muttered.
