Stephen's POV again

———

"music to my ears"

I wanted to sing a song for her... I wrote it and prepared many times over and over again. I think it's time I go over to her house and invite her over... or should I text her? I do have her number... I grabbed my phone and began to text her but then stopped. She quickly texted me; 'What's up?' I didn't know what to do now. I should just do it... 'Meet me at my house, right now if you can. I'll wait. It's important, you'll see.' I quickly text and then turn off my phone and throw it onto the bed and lay down.

She'll be here any minute now...

After a bit of a wait, I heard a knock. 'The doors unlocked, just lock it on your way in.' I texted her quickly and she opened the door, even hearing the door lock from upstairs. She came upstairs, assuming I was up there and came into my room. I pat the spot of the bed next to me and she comes and sits down.

I take a deep breath and begin playing my guitar. I strum the cords for a bit and then began to sing,

{insert the chorus of Hey Girl here}

I then stopped singing and spoke normally, still playing the cords.

"I made this song for you. It's not that good because I made it in only a day but I just really wanted you to know how much I loved you. Ever since we first became friends... it's just been amazing."

I tried to read her expression. Her head was tilted and she looked impressed on how I was playing the guitar. I know she's never seen me play it and I don't think she's ever played it herself or even learned how to so she was of course amazed.

"So?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you like it..?"

She came closer to my face and gave me a small kiss on the cheek. "Does that answer your question?" I felt my face heat up... she just kissed me- not on the lips but at least it was something!

"I'll take that as a yes."
