Stephen's POV

"I love you"

"y/n! Wait!" I called from across the front yard. She stood in front of her car, hand on the door. I run over to her and turn her around so she faces me. "What do you want from me!" She said in an aggressive tone of voice. I didn't like when she was angry. "W-Why are you leaving me! I-I did nothing wrong!" I looked her deep in the eyes, all I could see was anger and disappointment, which made me sad. I didn't want to ruin our friendship.

"P-please... y-y/n." My voice started to shake. We kind of just stared at each other for a bit. What should I do? What should I say? I-I don't want to hurt her more. "You don't like me, you just think I'm this toy that you can play around with and hurt my feelings. I'm a human, Sanchez. I'm just like you. Get it together or we're no longer friends." "W-What did I say to make you think that?!" It was another moment of silence and staring at each other. We had not said a word, neither of us.

I decided to spit it all out... I couldn't hold it in no longer. "y/n... I love you. With all my heart and soul. You did nothing wrong, I did nothing wrong. I'm just... madly in love that it hurts. I'm sorry for yelling at you, I wasn't mad I just was hurt on the inside. You're beautiful and kind and loving and I want you to be loved but your just not taking my love..."

I didn't know what to do next... so I just... kissed her. I cupped her face and then pulled my face closer to hers. I could feel her breathing heavier... I then kissed her right on the lips and she didn't do anything for a second before deepening into the kiss. For about 30 seconds we held it before letting go. "I love you too, Stephen." She smiled at me and then kissed me again.

We both let go a final time and then we both nervously laughed. "L-Let's get you back inside. Before it starts raining." I could feel the droplets beginning to come down from the sky, soon it might just become a giant downpour of rain. We both raced each other inside and watched a movie the rest of the night before y/n decided she wanted to have a sleepover, since I guess now we were officially together.

But... you never know if it'll really stay forever...
