My head throbbed with pain, the world around me a disorienting blur. The room seemed to spin, and an urgent gut feeling implored me to wake up. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" I silently urged myself. My breath came in agitated gasps, heart racing as I reluctantly opened my eyes to an abyss of pitch black. Panic gripped me as I realized I couldn't move—I was both tied up and blindfolded. Had I been taken hostage? The muffled hum of a moving car and the presence of two men beside me affirmed the unsettling reality

"Hello?" I called out, testing the waters to see if I'd elicit any response. "Seems like our doll has woken up..." a voice, disturbingly familiar, cut through the silence. Though my memory was a haze, I was certain it belonged to one of the men from the bowling alley. I strained against my restraints, grunting in protest as I felt a hand working to remove the blindfold. The world came into focus, revealing the two men who had incapacitated me. In the passenger seat of the SUV we were confined in sat a man with stunning pink hair. His face remained mostly obscured, but a glimpse hinted at a devilish smile and a scar that stirred a sense of recognition—I had encountered this guy before.

Rindou's firm grip on my restraints made me acutely aware of my vulnerability as he leaned in, his words a dangerous whisper near my ear. "So, you've finally woken up. Let me explain how things are going to work, missy." His voice dripped with an unsettling charm, as if he were describing the weather or offering to buy me a drink. "What you tried to do was a brave thing, but we really have to keep detectives like you in their place, love. You do understand, right?" His demeanor remained composed, a stark contrast to the predatory glint in his eyes as they roamed over me. With deliberate care, he turned my face toward him, his fingers tracing a chilling path along my skin.

"You guys are predators, leeching on innocent people," I spat out the words, a feeble attempt to mask the undercurrent of fear. "You are all disgusting," I growled, refusing to betray my trepidation in the face of impending danger.

"You fucking bitch," he hissed, his hand poised for a punishing blow. However, before the strike landed, the pink-haired man turned around, halting Rindou's aggression with a swift intervention. As he held back Rindou, a face I recognized emerged from the shadows—the light eyelashes framing aquamarine eyes were unmistakable. The recognition struck me with a jolt, anchoring me in the present peril and echoing with a deeper connection from a time I couldn't immediately place.

"Feisty... Okay, Rindou, you need to calm down. You know the king does not like it when we play with his toys," the voice, sharp and commanding, echoed through the tense air—a reference to the elusive kingpin who held dominion over their clandestine world.

"Akashi?" I questioned, my voice tinged with disbelief. The revelation of Akashi's involvement left me unsure whether this turn of events was a twist of fortune or a descent into deeper peril.

"I don't go by that name anymore, Y/N," he declared, his tone devoid of the familiarity I once knew. The dry seriousness of his demeanor hinted at a transformation from the quirky child of our shared past. "You see, Y/N, this is how things are going to play out. He wants to see you. Honestly, you are lucky; anyone else would be dead by now. So, let's make this a good experience for everyone and try not to resist or upset him," Akashi explained, his words carving out a chilling certainty. The implication loomed—Mikey, the king, awaited.

"Do I really have any other option?" I questioned, my disbelief echoed in the uncertainty of my surroundings.

"Usually, the sweet relief of death would be one, but not today," he responded with a touch of sarcasm. "You can untie her, Ran. We are here," he ordered the tall, purple-haired man named Ran, who leaned over with a cold efficiency, severing the ropes that bound my wrists. "Be a good girl and don't try to play smart. It would be a shame to put a bullet in that pretty skull of yours," he added, a whispered threat that sent shivers down my spine. As Ran freed me, the path ahead became an enigmatic journey into the heart of Mikey's realm, and the stakes had never been higher.
