Bailey sprinted back home. "Mum!", she screamed in anger. Her mum looked suprised with the tone she was using. Then her face stoftened, "ok, honey, calm down. I saw you on the news, you probably have a lot of questions", Bailey's mum said in an calm voice. Bailey paces around the living room, looking annoyed. "Really mum, you think I have questions", Bailey shouts. Her mum seemed shocked, she softened her face, and she said something, that Bailey was not expecting. "Honey, your father is a monster hunter, and you have his blood. So the monsters are drawn to your blood", her mum said with a soft voice.
"What do you mean, 'their drawn to my blood?", Bailey asked confused. Her mother looked upset now. Bailey thought, it must be the memory of dad again, it has only been about 5 years since he left. "They are drawn to your hunters golden blood, your father was blessed with power, to protect humans from the dangerous world you live in", Bailey's mum said so confidently.
Later that night.
"I'm going out tonight, I need some time with my friends", Bailey damanded. Her mother did seem to mind, so Bailey raced out the door. Her friends were already waiting outside. Her best friend Luna and her boyfriend were waiting on the deck for her. Her other best friends Jade and Tori, were waiting by the car. Jade, Tori and Bailey hadn't seen each other in for ever. So they screamed and hugged half the ride to the festival in the city.
Boom! Fireworks popped in the sky. Bright colours filled the air, salty chips smell filled the air. People made their way to sit down for the acrobatics show. Luna and Jake had already slipped away from the group. Jade and Tori came running with donuts, drinks, chips and every snack you could find in this festival. The acrobatics started, the lights were zooming around the room for effect. Then the lights suddenly turned off, then something growled above Bailey's head. She slowly looked up. All she could see were sharp horns, and shiny fangs, ready to bite. Bailey jumped out of her seat and started to sprint away, she could hear the monsters feet pound on the ground, shaking the earth underneath. Then the monster went for a hit, slashed Bailey across the stomach, blood spilling out. Then she blacked out.
