Summer break is finally over! And I don't mean to sound so relieved, but I do. And before you tell me how much school sucks maybe you should try hanging out with the Allan's for a whole summer break, and somehow keep your sanity stable. I don't even know how I've made it through several years with them. But they're another story, for another time.
Anyways, since summer break is ending, I'll be starting senior year in a new school today. And -as the new kid- first impressions will be everything today. I mean; first impressions are everything anyways. Well, to me they are.
Anyways, since the fight with Mike Dichter -the biggest jackass of all time- my father made sure that we wouldn't be in the same school, let alone district. And because of that I've been homeschooled for the past few years; not a lot of schools will take a kid who's been in a fight.
He did end up finding a school that would take me though. Only problem was that it was like half an hour away. But he insisted that I'd go there, even if that meant he would have to drive me to school instead of me riding the bus. And yes, I am eighteen. And I –in fact– can drive, but since this stupid fight I've been grounded from driving until I move out. He still lectures me about the fight to this day.
'Maybe he'll forget this morning.' I think hopefully as I pull myself out of my bed and towards where my mom had folded up my clothes. To be honest I wasn't really happy about changing districts, but the new school my parents enrolled me in is a private school, which means better food.
My father would argue about that with me, he'd probably say something like: "Which means better education on how to avoid fights."
'But he always finds a way to bring it up.' I think, rolling my eyes as I button up my shirt.
Once I'm finished getting dressed I look in the mirror and fix the collar of my shirt, then I move onto fixing the bird nest that is my hair. As I finish up my phone dings. I put down the brush, satisfied with how my hair looked.

You at your new school yet?----
I read off of my phone. Kevin Cox is a boy that I met in middle school, and he's probably the closest thing I have to a best friend.

(Will)
No, still getting ready
What about you? Are you at school yet?----
I text back as I grab my backpack, in the background I hear a distance alarm go off. 'Looks like my parents are up.' I think as I lean on the side of my bed.
