That morning, shuichi woke up a few hours earlier before monokuma's morning announcement.
He didn't like the announcement one bit, this stupid bear always scared him with these morning announcements at surprisingly loud volume. Shuichi definitely didn't want to get scared yet again.
Feeling like your heart is pounding because of an annoying bear is not the best feeling. So he's going through it.
He wandered the halls, maybe he should go get some breakfast? He doesn't know exactly how early it is, kirumi is the one who usually makes breakfast for everyone (and she's probably not awake yet) right after the monokubs restock the fridge first thing in the morning. A killing game doesn't work with weak players who can't even hold a knife, right?
But he's also independent! He can simply make a very hot coffee to at least stand up. Maybe he could ask Kirumi if she could make him some food...
He was lost enough in his thoughts that when he opened the door to the dinning room, he didn't notice Miu or Maki at the table with some Cookies, until Miu commented
"What are you doing here so early, pooichi?"
'what?'

"Wh-what?"
Shuichi asked. 'how long have they been here...? I think I lost focus for a moment...'
"Well, I could ask the same... What are you both doing in the cafeteria so early?"
Shuichi fixed his posture.
"Well, Maki and I decided to come to the cafeteria early to get the cookies that Kirumi leaves in the cupboards before the night announcement, before that little shit takes them! That rat always has them first and doesn't even share!"
Miu started out with a "calm" tone until her tone turned angry. Was she referring to kokichi when she said "rat"? It must be most likely.
"I was dragged into the cafeteria by that whore. It wasn't like I cared about those stupid cookies, much less her scheming with Ouma." Maki said in an angrier tone than usual. She didn't look happy about being awake so early against her will.
Miu moaned at such a curse, such a real bitch. But it soon returned to her "normal" state.
"Okay, it's your turn for us to answer. What are you doing here so early in the morning?"
Miu said, referring to shuichi.
"h-hm, I came earlier because I didn't want to wake up to monokuma's morning announcement."
Shuichi explained himself.
"Yes, the morning announcements are annoying..."
Maki nodded, it was no surprise that she would agree with that opinion. Surely she hasn't destroyed the stereos yet because it's forbidden.
"Whatever, anything that comes out of that bear's fucking mouth makes me sick"Miu continued.
Shuichi just nodded and headed to the kitchen to make his coffee. He didn't visit the kitchen much, so he didn't know exactly where the ingredients were.
He started looking in the cupboards, he didn't find much, in fact it was just a few foods that were repeated, like cereal, jars of honey, and even packets with tea but no coffee... Maybe someone left it in the drawers ?
No... The drawers used to be the place for cutlery...
Kirumi didn't only leave overnight cookies for the next morning, maybe she already made some coffee, and just needs to heat it up. That's right! Kirumi left some coffee in the fridge!
He also found some soft drinks, those were probably Ouma's. how does this boy manage to drink something overly sugary every day? Shuichi doesn't know, but it's not a matter he should worry about.
Shuichi returned his focus to the coffee. When he got back to the dinning room, the morning announcement finally rang.
"♪DING DONG DING DONG♪
Goooooood morning everyone! It is now 7AM and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine!~ get ready to greet another beautiful day!"
