He passed the office and was about to go in, when he saw the door was half opened, and voices were almost whispering. Kathar got close to the door to listen and, with effort, made out the conversation between Oliver and someone he'd never seen before.

"Oliver, you need to gather the samples."

"You worry too much. The experiments are in the initial stage, and Michael is too busy with them to even bother making more."

"But the weaponization potential that this—"

"I.Got.This."

Michael dared a peek into the room, and he saw the back of a head, covered halfway by what looked like a military cap. He looked at the person's back and saw a military uniform. Was he...? Was Oliver meeting with the military?

Michael heard a sigh and the noise of a chair. As the military man turned to leave, Kathar quickly went into this office. He waited until the heavy steps faded and prepared to confront Oliver. He stopped midway to the door, nodded to himself and went to his lab instead. He made sure the serum was still in the lab fridge, and that his notes were there, and proceeded to head to his apartment and drink. And there he remained, reminiscing about his path to greatness, the path that Oliver was now blocking. He knew it had been all too easy: the dating, the money, the facility; all of it. Oliver hovering all the time, asking questions, asking him how things worked, looking at his notes... he was going to take it all from him.

"But he won't. It works, and I know it works. He's not taking it from me."

Michael Kathar picked up the phone and made a call.
