When I returned to the shelter, I saw Noah climbing a tree. " Noah! Get Down! You idiot! You'll hurt yourself! " I cried as I rushed towards him. He manages to climb on top of the tree, ignoring my warnings.

" I did! Victory! " he shouts, raising both arms in the air. He gasps. " Babe, you've gotta see this. " I sigh and started climbing the tree. " Stupid tree " I huff as I reach the top.

The view is unbelievable. I pull out my phone and take a photo. The blue sky and the white puffy clouds. The ocean was sapphire blue. I turned to look beside me.

Noah smiles and his eyes are as blue as the ocean. What is wrong with me? I sound like a romance novel.

" It's beautiful, " I say, finding my voice again. He nods.

" Hey, we should climb down, it's getting dark. " Noah said. I watched Noah swiftly climb down the tree.

This is higher than I thought, I hesitate. I carefully slide my foot down and suddenly I am falling! I scream. Strong, muscular arms are suddenly supporting me.

" Woah, there babe! " he chuckles. Why am I such a klutz?

I blush furiously. " You should have just let me fall. " I replied. He smirks.

" Of course not! By the way isn't this the part where you say " My hero, marry me? " He complained.

" Oh, my freaking hero. Marry my ass! " I answered, sarcastically.

" You have wounded my heart, babe. " He teased, clutching his chest, dramatically.

Suddenly I remember that he is still carrying me. " Please put me down. I said.

He reluctantly puts me down. He pouts. " No, thank you? Where are you, gratitude babe? " He huffed. I lean over and gave him a kiss on his cheek. He looks shocked. I giggle at his expression.

" The last one to the shelter is a rotten ass! " I declare, running off. " Not so fast, babe. " I hear his footsteps and run faster. He passes me with a huge cocky smirk on his face.

" Took you long enough, babe. " He greeted me, as I arrive. I roll my eyes. " I love it, when you roll your eyes, babe," he said grinning. I rolled my eyes, again. " Dammit! " I grumble.

Noah's smirk grows more pronounced. " I won! I won! Ha ha! You are the rotten ass! " He gloats. " Oh my, is that the way you treat ladies? " I said while mocking his tone.

He grins widely. I look away. Then, I look at him again. He grins even wider than before. I look away. Don't look toward-Dammit! I look at him again. He grins wider and yelps in pain, clutching his mouth. I can't help but smile.

After a fabulous dinner, I lay down on the ground. He lies down beside me. I turn my back on him. But just about when I almost drifted off, I feel his strong arms wrap around my waist. I swat it away. Then I realize, oh my god, Noah Jackson is spooning with me.

Before I can protest or do something, exhaustion hits me like a wave. But despite wanting to push him away, my last conscious thought is how warm and comfortable he was.
