"Because you are my wife damn it!"
Shiva froze. He finally said those words. All the pain and distraught the whole family went through, went in vain. He, himself did what he stopped everyone from doing.
“Wh… what?” Raavi stammered.
"Look Raavi", he said after a sigh. "I know this is a shock for you, but this is the truth. You are married to me. I am your husband, not Dev."
Raavi looked at Shiva as if he had grown horns. What the hell did he just spoke? Did he hear himself? Shiva and she? But how could this even possible?
“But… I loved Dev,” Raavi said confused.
“You did. But his girlfriend showed up at the wedding and we had to get married. Dev married Rishita.”
“Rishita?” that explains their closeness. That is why Dev kept of talking about Rishita, kept taking care of Rishita. Because she is his wife and he loved her.
“It’s all just too much for me,” Raavi's head spun. “You and me, Shiva? We were enemies.”
“We were. But things changed with time, Raavi. We started understanding each other. We started loving each other.”
“I can never love anyone else, I am sure of it!”
“Really? Then how would you defend the kiss? Don’t be stupid Raavi, you were attracted too because you have feelings for me.”
She hated to admit but it was indeed true, she was attracted towards him.
“That day you and Rishita Bhabhi had an accident and you had a partial memory loss. You went back to the time when you were engaged with Dev. Not wanting to risk your life, I told everyone for all this drama. Listen Raavi, I know it's difficult. You don’t remember anything but I am waiting for you and will always do. Just give us a chance."
He moved his hand to hold her cheek. She shivered to his touch. He leaned forward towards the crook of her neck. She held him tight. Both their eyes were moist. They could've stayed in each other's embrace till eternity. But things were difficult between them. She slowly slid her hands away. But he nuzzled more into her neck.
"I love you, Raavi. And I know you do as well. It’s just gotten buried somewhere but I know it’ll never fade away.”
He pushed her back gently, surprising her. He looked right into her eyes and then opened the door and turned to her.
"We can be friends, right?" He asked.
And Raavi just nodded. Seeing his retreating figure, she sat numb at the thought that he will wait for her, always.

Shiva came out of the Raavi's cabin and saw the family waiting for him.
"How's she?" Dev held Shiva's shoulder.
"Better." He replied. "Did you speak with the doctor?"
"He says she need to be under observation for a night." Gaumbi said.
“I told her everything,” Shiva sighed. “It just slipped out. She is not ready to accept me but I’ll win her heart.”
