Shiva’s heart skipped a beat as soon as Raavi jumped into his arms. He fought the urge to hug her back with all his might. On the other hand, Raavi felt safe in Shiva’s arms. She had her eyes closed as kept her head on his shoulder and moved her hands upward, caressing his back. It was innocent yet felt seductive to Shiva.

Unable control himself, he grabbed her hand and fiercely pulled her into his room, thumping the door close and without wasting another minute sealed her lips with his own. His lips worked in aggression but his hands were gentle to her. She was the exact opposite of him, she showed her passion for him through her hands that  scratched his nape,  pinched on his chest and pulled his hair.

Holding him by his shoulders she turned their positions, for now her to pin him by the door. He was amazed by how swift she was in pulling him so effortlessly with the body of a small woman, she was dominant. Shiva smiled in between the kiss.

“You’ll be the dead on me, chipkali.”

And reality hit Raavi. She was in her enemy’s arms. She was so engrossed in the kiss that she forgot who she was with. He wasn’t her husband, he was her husband’s brother!

She looked at him horrified and ran out of the room. She could hear Shiva calling her but she ignored him. She reached the aangan and realised that the moments they just shared was in her bedroom only. Where would she run now?

Shiva reached Raavi and stopped at a distance. He didn’t know what to say, he just stood there waiting for her to speak. But to his dismay, she rushed towards her room and locked it from inside.

Three days passed by since Shiva and Raavi kissed each other. After that day, they seldom saw each other. Raavi would always find excuses to stay away from Shiva due to the guilt of crossing the line with him and Shiva decided to show his face to her as seldom as possible. They didn’t do anything wrong but he didn’t want Raavi to feel uncomfortable.

We have admitted Raavi in the hospital.

He got Dev's message and rushed to see Raavi.

Shiva entered the hospital room to see Raavi lying on the bed while the family stood beside.

"Everything fine doctor?" Gaumbi asked worried.

"She has become really weak. She is not eating properly since days. Please take care, she's in stress," The doctor said and left.

Shiva couldn't believe it. He knew she was stressed after that day but he didn’t know she wasn’t this much disturbed and wasn’t taking food. He looked at his family disappointed for not taking care of his wife.

"Raavi..." Dhara sat beside her and hugged her. "I have told you to take care of yourself, right? We had to admit you yesterday too and you promised me that..."

"Bhabhi," Shiva cut her in between. "She was admitted to hospital before?"

"Yes, we were returning from the market when she fainted. I brought her to the hospital."

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

"Because that's none of your business!" Raavi yelled.

Everyone looked at her shocked.

"Please leave us alone for sometime," Shiva said as he look straight at Raavi.

"There is no need," Raavi said.

"Guys," Shiva said in a stern voice. "Please."

"Dhara Di… Dev..." Raavi tried to stop but they had already left.

Raavi, being stubborn got up from the bed and opened the door to leave. But Shiva grabbed hold of her wrist, knowing exactly how she acted when she wanted to avoid confrontations, and pulled her back into the room. He closed the door and pushed her against it. His grip on her hands remained tight, as he glared at her.

"Raavi, look at me. Look at me damn it!" he yelled, when she refused to look him in the eyes.

Raavi slowly looked up, tears welled up, the fear and nervousness apparent on her face. She bit her lip, and Shiva's thoughts immediately changed direction.

Those lips. Those bright pink lips, that he just wanted to capture with his own. Like he had done that day. He slowly took one of his hands and brushed away a stray piece of hair that was falling on her face, his soft touch lingering on her skin. Raavi gasped, remembering how his proximity affected her. His fingers slowly brushed across her lower lip, and she parted her lips instinctively, desire already overwhelming her.

But soon, she came back to normality, opening her eyes.

No. She couldn't do the same mistake again. She couldn't succumb to her desire, that fire that was burning deep within her. Because it was wrong.

She pushed Shiva with all her force.

"What the hell?" She shouted.

Shiva was taken aback by her sudden push as well as yell. He realised what her was doing and closed his eyes in regret.

"What the hell are you doing, Shiva? How dare you come close to me. Just stay away. You don't need to interfere in my life."

"Shut up!" Shiva barked back. "Just shut up, okay? What the hell do you think of yourself? You're some lioness? Hell, even a lioness need to eat for surviving. Why can't you just take care of yourself? Why don't you understand, Raavi? You are everyone's lifeline. Of my family, of Dhara Bhabhi and m.."

He was about to say me but he didn't. Raavi looked in his deep eyes only to find lots of love and care. He keeps his hand on her cheek.

"Don’t do this to yourself." He said in a calm voice.

"You shouldn't be caring," Raavi said as tears well up in her eyes. "You should stay away from me. Just leave me alone."

"I can't!" Shiva said. "That's the only thing I can never do, Raavi. I can't leave you. And I do care and will always do.

"Why?" She yelled.

"Because you are my wife, damn it!" Shiva yelled back.
