Serenity eagerly watched the entrance of the ballroom, eyes searching through the crowd carefully. He'd been looking forward to this day the most, his very first birthday spent with him.

He jumped in surprise when he heard his mother, Queen Serenity, laugh and tease him. "Aww, my little prince has never been this excited before, I wonder why~?" He turned around to see her grinning at him.

His eyes widened and quickly became red-faced at being so blatantly obvious, "W-Wha-?! Mama, I'm not!" Serenity denied the claim vehemently. "I'm- I'm just- you know!"

"Mmm~? I don't know what you mean, Serenity."

"Mama...!"

"Haha, I'm just teasing." She smiled gently then pointed in a direction, "Look, there he is making his way over to us."

His head turned so fast that if Queen Serenity didn't know better, she'd be fussing over her son even if they were in public. Instead, she just shook her head fondly as Serenity waved over the person he'd been looking for with a big smile on his face.

"Endymion~!" He happily sang as he'd given him a short hug, "Took you long enough to arrive, and I love the way you tied your hair." He giggled then pouted, "Long enough for mama to tease me..."

Endymion just chuckled and pat his head, making Serenity whine a little. "I had a few things to take care of, but I came as soon as I could, didn't I?" He noticed that Serenity was red, although his face was slowly reverting back to its color. "My hair's long enough for a little tail."

"I had my hair all fixed up..." He huffed with a playful glare, "and yes, you did."

"Now, might I have the chance to have the Moon Prince in question's first dance?" Endymion bowed as he offered a hand.

Serenity followed with a curtsy and placed a hand on his, "It would be an honor to have this dance with the Earth Prince."

"Have I ever told you how wonderful you look in that dress of yours?" They sat by the fountain that accompanied the wonderful view of the planet Earth, a common sight for someone like Serenity.

Serenity hummed and snuggled to his side, "Now you did, I saved this one for you." He reached for the hand that wasn't wrapped around his waist, placing one over his. "I'm glad I get to spend this year's birthday with you, and I get to give you this."

Endymion felt something hard and small, Serenity's hand left his to reveal a star-shaped object. "Hm?" With careful touches, he opened it from the middle and a melody then played, revealing it to be a music box in the form of a locket. "It's the lullaby you always hum when we go on strolls!"

"Mhm, it's something to remember me by, if we're ever apart for long periods of time, you'll have this."

"Thank you, love." He kissed his cheek, "I'll cherish it dearly."

Serenity giggled, "That's not the spot I was hoping for." He leaned closer, locking lips with Endymion briefly. "That's the one~!"

"You beat me to it..."

Endymion stood next to Serenity, arms spread and facing the army and his subjects from Earth, trying to negotiate. "Stop! Stop this meaningless war!" He shouted, a rare serious expression on his face.
