Kiyotaka whimpered quietly, his heart felt heavy and he found it harder and harder to breathe with each minute. He’d been doing good recently, but why now? Why did he mess up?

“Taka…?” He slowly looked up and through his blurry vision, he saw his closest friend approach and kneel down to eye level. “Darling, what’s wrong?” Okay, maybe friend wasn’t the right term…

He swallowed thickly while the tears kept rolling down, wrapping his arms around his neck and burying his face. “Ruru… I think I’m really going to fail. I really screwed up.” He hiccuped when he didn’t want to, it made talking a lot harder than it should.

Kakeru was quiet, but his grip on him was tight just… the way he liked it. He heard him sigh and it became even tighter. “Do you think I would let you fail?” Suddenly he was gently pushed back a little, Kakeru wiped more of his tears and… he could see his determined expression. “Listen, If you go down, I’m coming with you.” His face was closer, “If we go down… then we go down together, okay?”

“Together…?”

“Yes Darling, together.”

And he sealed it with a gentle and sweet kiss.
