Part Five

As the group of five arrived at the abandoned farmhouse, a shiver ran down Juyeon's spine. He had heard stories about this place before, but he never thought he would actually set foot inside it.

The farmhouse looked eerie, with its broken windows and overgrown vegetation. Juyeon tried to shake off his unease and put on a brave face for his friends.

"Alright, let's do this," Younghoon declared, leading the way into the open yard. The creaky wooden fence and frail-looking door was almost all the place had in terms of security.

Jacob and Sangyeon decided to work on the garden, to make the area habitable as they intended to set their mats and picnic utilities on the grass there. "Let's look around for shovels, trimmers or anything of the sort that might help us cut down this super tall grass" suggested Sangyeon.

Juyeon was about to comply to his hyung but Hyunjae had other plans. "Juyeon-ah, how about we explore the house inside? We might need to make sleeping arrangements in case the weather takes a turn for the worse."

Younghoon was already in on said plan since he hates mosquitoes. And judging by the abundance of greenery, there was some possibility of insect bites of other kinds as well, especially at night.

Juyeon hesitantly let out a 'sure' before following the two inside.

The inside of the house was just as creepy as the outside. The air was musty and stale, and the furniture was covered in a thick layer of dust. As they explored the house, they found old family photos and children's toys scattered about, as if the family that lived here had left in a hurry.

"Why are we even here? This seems like a dumb idea to me. Plus, this place is hella creepy." Juyeon voiced out his concerns.

Younghoon chimed in, "well, he sort of has a point. And the sleeping here part doesn't exactly have a safe appeal to it."

Hyunjae rolled his eyes." Oh, come on! For once in your monotonous lives, let loose! When will we get such a beautiful location, a farmhouse to ourselves again? Let's have a great vacation."

Points were made there too. Although the residence itself was a bit shabby currently, due to seemingly being unoccupied for ages, it would definitely regain it's majestic vibe once cleaned and dusted. Needless to say, the surrounding scenery was a sight for sore eyes, especially pairs that look at high-rise buildings and schools everyday.

"Say no more. Bermuda brothers, let us explore!" Younghoon said enthusiastically, inventing a name for the trio in the process.
