It was a typical autumn afternoon, and the sun was slowly setting in the small town of Greenfield. Juyeon was home alone, deep pants leaving his throat as he lay on his back on his double bed.
The post workout euphoria was soaring high in his body, and he took the moment to achieve a clearer headspace.
He had been feeling strange all day, like something was stirring inside him. But he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
However, he didn't need to be told the cause of his predicament. It was undoubtedly because of that ONE summer night.
"If only I'd never stumbled upon that damned house, I never would've-"
NO. He could NOT mention it out loud. Even though he was by his lonesome, he couldn't risk exposing that implausible fiasco. After all, that's what people say: _"Walls have ears too. "_
Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name. "Juyeon-ah! Heyy!!"
Juyeon was dumbfounded initially, before realizing the sound was coming from down the street. He got up and peeped out the window of his first- floor room.
His vision had been blessed, in the form of four excruciatingly handsome men. His friends stood in front of his house. But before Juyeon could even begin to comprehend what they were doing at his place, they barked angrily.
"Are you going to keep standing there like some horror movie character or actually open the door? We've been ringing the doorbell since god knows when. "
"Uh..yeah sure, Younghoon-hyung. Gimme a second." Juyeon managed to croak out, running downstairs, wondering what the purpose behind this visit could be.

*Meanwhile, elsewhere* :
Chanhee was watching a compilation video of funny interviews of KPOP idols on his phone, having the time of his life, when he came across a very interesting news article.
"What? Gong-Yoo is starring in a new drama?! ", he quickly turned to his friend.
"Hey Q, I know what we're doing tonight!" Chanhee exclaimed, the excitement clear as crystal on his face.
"Uhm hmm." Q replied, without taking his eyes off of his own phone. The two of them had met to hang out, which eventually ended up in simply sitting beside each other, scrolling on their phones.
"Before I agree to that, tell me. Have you heard?"
"Some guys from our school, are heading to the old abandoned farmhouse soon. They're daring each other to spend the night there." Changmin informed his friend.
Chanhee's heart started to race. He had always been curious about the old farmhouse, but his parents had always warned him to stay away.
Chanhee looked at him, expressionless.
"This is the part where you tell me why I care. "He retorted, trying to feign ignorance.
"Really?" Changmin looked at him in disbelief.
"I'm telling you about how we are going to have the best time of our week tonight and you're spewing irrelevant information. Get your priorities straight."
Chanhee said, sticking by his perception that watching the new drama was the better choice here.
"Oh sorry, you can't get them straight. Cause you ain't! " and bursted with laughter on his own joke.
"Ha-ha. Hilarious. Can we talk like actual grown-ups now?" Q replied, unamused.
Chanhee made a sour expression, but sat up straight on the park bench.
"Thank you."
"Okay. I'm listening. Are you going?" he asked Changmin .
"I'm thinking about it," Changmin replied. "Ever since I told Haknyeon about it, he's been on my ass about how '''we should sneak around too, have a little while we're at it''' .
"And then he told Kevin. It became 2 V/S 1. When I tried to list the cons of this stupid idea, they declared that both of them would be going there, with or without you and I.
Maybe we should accompany them, you know, keep them from doing something dangerous".
Q gave his two cents on the topic.
"Something dangerous like what? Getting entangled in cobwebs?"
Chanhee scoffed. "Still waiting for the convincing bit here, my friend."
Changmin exhaled a deep sigh. "You- "
"Okay, okay got it. Tell those idiots we're tagging along . You actually have a point. We can't trust those two troublemakers to be by themselves. "
Chanhee told Q, finally giving in to the idea.
"BUT, you owe me one for making us miss all of that Gong Yoo eye candy."
"Bet."
Q assured, a faint smile making its way on his face.
