I AVERTED MY EYES TO theother side of the room to see Legend packing his things up. Nonetheless, I packed my things up too and once I was finished I tied my jacket onto my waist just incase it bled through. I just knew my cycle was on like I could feel it. And I was upset with myself for not checking early so I could bring a pad just in case.
Sometimes I hated how irresponsible I could be or forgetful.
I got up and walked outside the room meeting Legend. He grabbed my Telfar bag from off my shoulder and grabbed ahold of my hand as we began walking alongside. We didn't say anything until we reached my car.
"What you crying for, T?" He asked wiping my tears before kissing my forehead. "What's wrong?"
"I just had to leave class because I forgot to check my period tracker. I could have avoided all that if I just checked and brung a pad just in case. I'm not suppose to be forgetting something like that." I cried looking down.
"It slipped your mind, bae. It's cool. Next time we gone prevent something like that from happening though. You gone keep pads and shit in yo' bag and I'm gone keep some in mine. Now stop crying and let me see if you on your period."
