Third POV It was now the afternoon, around 12:20PM, Yellow tape covered the apartment complex, Danny and James were outside talking to the police about what had happened, while Edward was throwing up his lunch. "So, you just saw her like that" "Yea I did" James was dumbfounded with how stupid this officer was, an old lady was murdered, brutally, and he had the audacity to act so nonchalant. "Alright, well, looks like we're done here." Sanchez said, still acting like he doesn't care. James sighs and goes to where Danny is. "So Dan, now what?" James asks. "Well, now, we go back in there and investigate." Danny says, referring to Mary-Anne's apartment. "Alright-but uh, should Edward come with us?" James asks, looking gingerly at the rookie cop who just got finished throwing up. "Yea, he needs to get used to this kind of stuff, even if it is fucked up." Danny says. "Rookie! Come on!" "Alright I'm coming!" Edward tells Danny. The trio walks into Mary-Anne's apartment, the foul stench still there. "Fuck, it stinks!" Edward exclaims. "Yea, well get used to it." Danny says, tired of Edward's whining. The trio look around the apartment and James finds a mysterious letter with the address '0140Gardner Fox Ave, New York, NY 41956' "Hey guys! I've found an address!" James yells. Danny and Edward come over to James and looks at the address. "Huh, I know this address, that's where an abandoned lab is." Danny says. "Why was it abandoned?" James asks "Rumor is, the doctor who ran the lab went insane and is using the lab as a hideout." "What's the doctor's name?" "Professor Hunter Zolomon."
The trio arrive at the address and go inside the building. The three cops are amazed at what they see. There was lab equipment that looked like it was from 100 years into the future. At the center of the lab was a machine.

"A particle accelerator." Danny mutters. "What does it do?" James asks. "It gives anyone in its vicinity superpowers." Hunter says with a hint of satisfaction at his work. "Why the hell would you need something like that? we have the avengers." Danny responds.
