"Tommy." Dream called slowly as he opened the door to the makeshift room, "I'm back."
The room was empty however. Dream frowned, stepping into the room. It was way too quiet. Did Tommy manage to escape?
Dream felt someone shove him forward. He stumbled, but quickly righted himself.
"TOMMY!" Dream yelled, chasing after the boy who ran through the open door.
"Shit!" Tommy cursed to himself.
The boy jumped down some stairs. He needed to find an exit. He needed to escape. If he escaped he could get back home, and then he would be safe. Phil would hug him tightly, and Techno would protect him, and after it was over Wilbur would play guitar for him, and it would be okay.
Tommy rounded a corner, running straight into someone. He fell back harshly.
"Tommy!?" Not Found looked down at the boy in shock.
Dream rounded the corner, grabbing Tommy's arms and holding them behind his back, "god damn it Tommy! Stop running!"
Not Found frowned, kneeling in front of the boy, "what happened to him?"
"He's been trying to escape." Dream huffed, forcing Tommy to his feet.
"Did you punch him?" Not Found asked, taking out a cloth and starting to clean the blood from Tommy face.
"What!? No!" Dream yelled, "he fell. He'll be fine, just help me get him back to the room."
Not Found looked between the two for a moment. Tommy's eyes were wide and pleading, a large bruise spread over the side of his head. Dream was as unreadable as ever. Just a cold mask staring back.
"Fine, just... Let go of his arms." Not Found said, placing a hand on Tommy's shoulder.
Dream hesitated for a moment, "Fine."
Dream released Tommy's arms. He gripped Tommy's other shoulder tightly, enough to make the boy wince. Not Found didn't say anything as they walked. He didn't want to push Dream. Honestly, he was starting to doubt Dream's theory about Tommy being connected to the SBI. Maybe the reason they came after Tommy was because Dream stabbed Protesilaus with a knife saying they had kidnapped a kid. It Not Found had been stabbed, then informed a kid would be hurt if he did nothing, he would certainly leap into action.
Not Found was startled out of his thoughts when Tommy was thrown into the room. His hand hovered midair where the boys shoulder was a moment ago. Then he realized. Dream had thrown the kid. Villains were one thing, but Tommy was a civilian and a child.
"Dream, be careful." Not Found said.
"He's fine." Dream snapped, "right Tommy?"
Tommy just curled up in a corner, far away from the hero. He looked terrified. Not Found sighed.
"Dream, leave." The sleep hero said.
"What!?" Dream turned sharply.
"Leave." Not Found said, "go get some food for him or something. He hasn't eaten in a while."
Dream went quiet for a moment, "fine."
The masked hero left, slamming the door behind him. Not Found sighed, kneeling down by Tommy.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
Tommy shook his head, letting out a small sob, "I want to go home."
"I know." Not Found said, taking out the cloth again, "you'll be home soon."
Tommy flinched away as the hero tried to clean more of the blood away, "you keep fucking saying that. Just let me go home."
"Tommy, be completely honest with me." Not Found lowered the cloth, "is there anything you've found suspicious about your family? Anything at all, even from years ago."
