F/n sighs deeply, laying on a grassy field as sweat kisses her forehead. Looking at the sky lost in thought trying to have flashbacks of her father and mother but it was no use. Suddenly a monster hovers over her stopping her thoughts.
"GAHH!"
She quickly slaps it away as the monster falls back and yells back."ACKK-! WHAT THE WAS THAT FOR?!"
It was Roujin..
F/n burst laughing rolling back and forth on the grassy field, making her hair get messy and full of grass.
"HAHAH I-I TOUGHT YOU WE-WERE A MONSTER PFFTTT-" She hovers her hand over her mouth as tears prick her eyes.
"Alright alright, get your laugh but you should've seen your face, it looked like you shit yourself."Roujin chuckled sitting down next to the laying girl who slowly stops laughing and wiping her tears away.
"Hahaaa...um nuh uh!" She pauses and side eyes Roujin who looks a bit down, and it's not like she cares or anything but it if something is bothering him than he won't be able to train F/n right."Is something wrong, Roujin?" She sat up, her eyes fixed intently on him, concern etched on her face.
Roujin's expression turned grave, his eyes clouding over like a stormy sky. "Hm... I have a bad feeling, a sense of foreboding that something is looming on the horizon. Time is running out for us, and we're not prepared for what's to come."
F/n's confusion deepened, her brow furrowed in puzzlement. "What are you talking about, old man? You're starting to scare me."
Roujin sighed, his shoulders sagging under the weight of secrets kept hidden for far too long. "I think it's time you knew the truth, F/n. About your father, who he was, and the circumstances surrounding your birth."
F/n's eyes widened, her mind racing with questions. "My father? But you've never mentioned him before. Why now?"
Roujin's gaze drifted off, lost in the memories of a long-forgotten past. The scene shifted, and he found himself in a flashback...
Flashback Roujin's POV
"D/N, I can't take care of your child! I've never had one of my own!" Roujin exclaimed, feeling overwhelmed as he held a crying baby in his arms. When did D/N have a child, and why did he hide it?!Roujin's eyes locked onto D/N's, searching for answers. "Roujin, please... I can't stay here knowing this village might be in danger because of me. I also have a secret you should know, since you'll be raising my daughter."
Roujin's curiosity was piqued, and he leaned in, eager to uncover the truth. He gently tried to soothe the crying baby, who slowly stops crying. My race is rare and becoming extinct by the day," D/n said, his voice laced with a mix of desperation and urgency. "I don't even know how many of us are out there... We're a dying breed, and I'm not sure how much longer we'll survive."
As he spoke, my eyes widened in shock, sweat dripping from my face like rain. My eyebrows furrowed, my mind racing with the implications. "Don't tell me... You're from the Lunarians race?!" I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper. "That's impossible! I thought they were long dead, a myth, a legend...!"
I stared at D/n, my eyes scanning his features, searching for any sign of the Lunarians' features. But there was nothing. He looked... normal. "You can't be," I whispered, my mind reeling. 'He looks nothing like them...' then D/n answered my thoughts.
"You must be thinking why I look nothing like them," D/n's expression was solemn, his eyes filled with a deep sadness, his voice low and husky. "Well, it's because of my wife, M/n. She had the power to hide identities, to conceal our true selves even from those closest to us."
I shook my head, trying to process this revelation. "But how? Why?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me. "What kind of power is that?"
D/n's gaze drifted off, his eyes clouding over. "Not even I know fully how her power works but she had a spell, one that only she could cast. It was meant to protect us, to keep us safe from those who would seek to harm us. But now she's gone, she died giving birth to our daughter she will be unable to cast the spell which only lasts 10 years... And today marks the 10th year for me..."
I watched in awe as D/n closed his eyes, and that's when I noticed his hair color changing to a stark white. I could hear the sound of ripping, like fabric tearing apart, and suddenly two pairs of black wings sprouted from his back. A red flame ignited on his back, casting a warm glow over the room. I was so taken aback that I couldn't even form words. My mind was racing with questions, but my voice was frozen in my throat.
D/n opened his eyes, and they locked onto mine. "My daughter, F/n, is a rare case," he said, his voice filled with a mix of sadness and urgency. "When she was born, we knew she was going to be like me, but she looked completely different. I've never seen any of our race look just like her... She was born with white wings, so before her mother died, she also cast the spell on her. But F/n only has 10 years before the spell will wear off, and I'll need you to be there for her when it does happen."
I took a deep breath, trying to process everything that was happening. "So, you're leaving to keep the village safe?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
When I looked into D/n's eyes, they were tearing up. "I don't want to," he said, his voice cracking with emotion. "But I have to. I'll be leaving you my child and the village in your hands."
I shook my head, feeling a sense of panic rising up inside me. "I can't be head of the village," I protested. "It's not like me, I'm not... I'm not fit for it, D/n."
D/n walked up to me and put a hand on my shoulder "Your a good man Roujin for the years I've known you I am certain you are fit to be head of the village, your strong." I hummed "Thanks D/n that means a lot I won't let you down.." We both looked down at the now sleepy F/n, That's when D/n slowly started to grab F/n and I let him do so, I saw the way he was gentle with F/n and saw how F/n opened her eyes and looked up at her father and she smiled happy reaching her hands at them, the bond they were both having was a warm memory I will have burned in my memories forever. "I need to go now F/n...Roujin here will take good care of you." D/n handed F/n back to me as F/n stared at me with curiosity I looked at D/n and saw him packing.
Hours later we were at the shore and it was sunset as I watched D/n getting ready to set sell, we both decided to keep this a secret so no one would know who he was for the safety of the village. I had F/n in my arms now wrapped around in a warm blanket to keep her warm from the wind as she kept looking all around. D/n had finished and walked up to me ready to say his goodbyes "Well this is it...I'm not sure where I would be headed but it won't be a matter of time when the world government finds me.. also tell everyone that I and my wife became pirates and handed our child to you.. and don't worry about my wife's body I will be taking her to bury her where she always wanted to be."
I look back at the boat and realized that M/n was covered up in a blanket surrounded with flowers. "I see...please be safe and don't worry I'll make sure to tell the villagers that, but you also want F/n to know about it?" I waited for his answer as D/n seemed lost in thought. "Yes, only tell her the truth when you think the time is right."
I shook my head understanding his request, D/n picked F/n out of my hands and gave her one last hug and kiss on the forehead which made F/n wake up and smile at her father and D/n smiled along, he handed F/n back to me as she whined a little. I watched as D/n got on the boat and was setting sail thats when I noticed F/n reaching out to him and she started to cry, I tried to comfort her but she kept on crying, I sighed and stared back at the ocean as D/n boat was sailing further away to the point he wasn't no where near sight.
