It's so peaceful.

The grass beneath you is soft.

The breeze is gentle and cool.

You can hear the chitters and coos of the life around you. Creatures of light fly idly over head.

The light of the central star shines down upon you, kissing the apples of your cheeks and peeking through your eyelids.

You can feel yourself waning between consciousness and sleep, when suddenly the light beyond your eyelids disappears. At first, you think that a cloud is passing, temporarily blocking out the sun's rays.

But you wait... and nothing changes. And you suddenly become aware of the tingling sensation of somebody watching you.

A large part of you just wants to keep your eyes shut and to give in to rest, but your instincts scream at you to look. It takes much effort to pull yourself out of the depths of your mind, and when you finally do, you tiredly peel one eye open.

A familiar eclipsed face and red hues greet you.

"Hi." They say, voice hushed and a small grin present on their face.

Your eyelids are heavy when you blink, but you tiredly smile back.

The Collector giggles at your sleepy behavior.

They settle down onto the grass right beside you, copying your position and laying back to admire the clouds in the sky.

They're strangely still for a moment, feeling like there's something missing. They contemplate this feeling, before sitting up and scooching closer to you.

You gladly accept the press of your best friend's shoulder against yours, and move to wrap your arm around theirs.

The Collector settles back down in the new position.

That's better, they think.

Content and comfortable, he allows his eyes to fall shut and lets the sounds around him and the familiar warmth against his side lull him into a peaceful slumber.

And all was quiet.
