"Do you think there are any mortals here?"

"I don't know."

Your hand is wrapped firmly in their's. The Collector leads you both along the dunes of sand, not a sign of life in sight.

"We've been walking for a while." You comment.

"Oh..." The Collector pauses in his steps and turns to you, brows furrowed, "... are you getting bored?"

You squeeze their hand to dissuade their doubt, shaking your head, "No. I'm always having fun when I'm with you. Let's keep going, we still have the rest of this planet to explore."

They smile and resume their walking, joyfully pulling you along.

"That's right." He mutters, not to you or anyone in particular, "There's still so much for us to see."

As you two continue, a small plant comes into view. You both come to a stop in front of it. It's a flower.

"Hello!" The Collector greets.

The tiny flower perks up in your presences, "Good evening."

"Are there any people on this planet?" Your friend asks.

"Just two. They passed through this place a few years ago."

You both trade looks with one another. As if you've come to the mutual understanding that you would be walking for a quite a while longer.

"Do you know what direction they went?" You ask.

The flower motions it's leaves to the East.

You and your friend thank the plant in unison and bid your farewells.

"I hope you find what you're looking for." The flower says as it waves you off.

Wind blows sand into a pair of foot prints that are engraved into the dunes, and all traces of two little stars in the desert disappear.

Night falls, and you and The Collector are still walking.

He gently breaks the idle silence to ask a question.

"Do you really mean it?"

"Hm?"

"That you're always having fun when you're with me?"

"Yes."

"You won't get tired of me?"

"No... will you get tired of me?"

"No."

And all was quiet.
