I woke up the next morning with a killer headache. I didn’t remember much from last night which could only mean that I drank too much. I had a horrible stench of vomit, I was about to change when I realized that I wasn’t at my house. So I help myself to a pair of Lexington’s clothing. I walk to the living room and found Lexington in the kitchen making breakfast.

I notice that he had a black eye and a cut on his lip. I walk over to him touching his face. I had a feeling that I had did something that cause his injuries. I drank way too much last night.

“Are these marks because of me?” I ask running my fingers over his cut.

“Don’t worry about it. I had worse injuries.” He force a smiled on his face.

I could tell that he was a little upset with me. I probably embarrassed him with my actions last night. I mean if I could remember what I did, I probably would be embarrassed too.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered.

“Don’t apologize Maddie, we all do things when we are drunk.” He said. “Do you want some breakfast.” He showed me a plate filled with pancakes, bacon, eggs, and French toast.

“I would love some but my stomach is literally doing back flips right now.” I sat down on the stool.

“That’s why I ran to the corner store and bought you some coconut water, it helps me every time I have a hangover.” He said handing me a bottle.

“You are so sweet.” I smiled drinking the coconut water.

We sat down and had breakfast where I couldn’t help but stare at Lexington. I had the wrong perception  of him this whole time, he was obnoxious & arrogant as I first thought. He was proving to be different and I was liking this side of him. I am glad that I’m getting to know him, I waste too much time on spending time with him. I see him so much more than just a co worker. He is a friend.

“What?” He ask as he caught me staring at him.

“I’m just glad that I ask you to be my fake fiance. Otherwise I would never gotten to know you.” I smiled.

“Ditto.” He answered.

This vacation is not going to be that bad after all.

"So how crazy did I get last night." I ask.

"All I'm going to tell you is that you were dancing on the bar. And some locals were feeling on you, hints were my black eye and busted lip came from." He said.

"I'm sorry, I embarrassed you. Didn't mean too." I look down ashamed of myself.

"Don't be. Like I said we all do stupid things when we are drunk. And it's okay to make mistakes." He explained.

There was a moment of silence before we both lean in for a kiss. I quickly pull away with red cheeks.

"I have to go. I will see you in two days." I rush out of his apartment with my heart pounding.

I felt nothing but sparks when our lips met. I was already catching feeling.
