Pretty
As in the way our eyes shine in the sunlight reflecting rainbows, marbles in our majesty
Strong
As in the way we fight, have fought, and will fight for our color to not be a stereotype & how swiftly, confidently we move through our dark storms, barefoot
Independent
As in how modestly we carry ourselves during our road of life and wear heels 6 inches tall to stand tall and walk over tribulations given
Glamorous
No matter how dirty our nails and toes may get, we always walk out clean with manicures and pedicures
Underestimated
With our beauty also comes intelligence; we are a package deal but others seemed to be purposely oblivious by it holding us down to only one or none of our positive attributes
Majestic
Our hair as wild as a hurricane, defying gravity, comes in different shapes but necks still break and eyes bloodshot straining to catch a single glimpse
Gorgeous
As in our unique melanin glistening in the sun rays, enhancing our beauty, crowning us
Desirable
Men don't know how to act when the curtain draws back and unleashes a goddess with full lips and wide thighs; traits most people can only fantasize about enduring
Protective, Together
As in this is how we should be since no one else will ever appreciate the beauty of us like us
Beautiful
Since the beginning we've been looked down on, blurred and cropped out of the big picture of life and humanity as if we were foreign creatures
We've taken hold of your proposals yet are still continuing to shine our light
Yes, we are different. No, calling us creatures doesn't make our skin crawl as our skin is our temple which we proudly reside in.
All I have is one declare: let us be beautiful.
