"Anne!"
"Mother! Aren't we going to the flower fields today?"
It was the next day, morning, a quarter past ten to be precise.
"Well, I'm afraid it has to wait till the evening." Said Linda with an assuring smile.
Ann froze for a moment and quickly ran to her room, back with her art book.
"Oh, what to we have for today?" Asked Linda in curiosity. She opened the messy book with hardened paint on its covers. She flipped through her old arts, with an admiring smile and stopped at for the new entry.
"Oh, that is looking different, Ann. What is it?"
"I don't know, I just drew it from my head"
"It looks wonderful."
"Linda!"
The mother-daughter duo was startled by the sudden entry of the male.
Linda: "Gardeon?"
Gardeon: "Linda, I've got our places in the ship. We would be off by five"
Anne: "A Ship, Papa? Where are we going?"
Gardeon: You didn't tell her yet?
Linda denied with her head. Gardeon let out a slight sigh and bend down to his knees to reach Ann's perspective.
Gardeon: Princess...
Anne: Papa?
Gardeon: So, there's some news!
Linda: Yes, a great one
She said while sitting next to Ann.
Gardeon: Mama and Papa were asked to go to the kingdom...
Ann: The KINGDOM?
Linda: Yes, Honey. I know you're excited. But...
Gardeon: Unfortunately, only mama and papa are going, princess.
Ann: Oh, but why? I'd have loved to come
Linda: We know honey, we promise to take you there again as soon as we get back. How does that sound?
Ann nodded in her pout.
Gardeon: Papa and mama will be back in a few weeks and we will go for the paper lanterns!
Ann: The paper lanterns?
Linda: Yes, and we will bring a good gift if we be a good girl at the little flowers while we were gone.
Ann: Anne promises she will be a good girl
Linda: Great, we'll go to the flower fields now?
Gardeon: Well, my mistresses, would it trouble you if I tagged along?
Ann: well of course not papa!
The family walked into the distance to the near forest to Ann's evermore. Right past it were the flower fields, it was just a great place for picnics and fun.
Ann ran into the flowers, into the waters, around the oak tree, back to her parents where she received the most comforting hug.
Then they talked and talked, laughed and laughed, sang and dances with merry smiles.
