You see, every full moon she would sit by the window staring at the silver crystal ball. She would stand in it's rays and soak in it's shine. Standing beneath it, she would whisper something like a prayer. All in the hope that someone somewhere, a strange but familiar soul was listening through the evening breeze. Was that someone listening though? We're not sure. But what we know is that her ritual captured the attention of a young lad who would hide in the bushes as he watched the cool breeze blow her hair in majesty.

See, there was really nothing to this young lad. Only that the village folks considered him a bit too strange. Others would say he had no traceable origin there. But again, who cares? Perhaps we shall know a bit about this strange soul. Layered by so many mysteries, there was never a doubt in his heart about his attraction to the moon gazing damsel.

You are probably wondering why we speak of these two souls in the past tense. Well, it's because in the end, they die. No, not like the Romeo and Juliet kind. The Kind that brings kingdoms to their knees and makes way for destiny.

The Kind that we'll only understand as we turn the pages of this story.
