Izuku didn't like to think about his life before UA. Mainly because he didn't remember much of it.

His mother was at the center of his old memories, because he remembered so much of her. The conversations they had when he was a toddler. The times she had him piggyback on her. Most of all, her night time song she sang to him before he went to sleep.

And yet, he can never remember her face.

It's been so long since her death, and even though he spent so much time with her, he could never remember what she looked like.

Another memory he had was whenever his mother had her friends come over. Miss Midnight and Miss Yagi were some of his best friends, even if they were so much older. They still are to this day.

Izuku loved his mother, and he loved her friends. They were his friends too.

It sucks that not many have the title of Izuku's friend though.

"Sorry for this Izuku. It's just procedure," A Tired voice broke Izuku's trance. It was Miss Aizawa. She was another of mother's friends, although he never saw her as often.

"Oh, yeah. No problem," Izuku responded, his memories fading once again as Aizawa looked down on the paper.

"Alright. Name?" Aizawa asked, spreading out a few sheets, clicking a pen.

"Uh, Midoriya Izuku," Izuku responded. He had always learned to say his name in reverse for interviews.

"Age?" Aizawa asked, writing down the response.

"12," Izuku responded. "July 15th." There was a bit of silence afterwards. Izuku assumed that Aizawa was filling out parental boxes, and she just didn't want to make him more upset.

"Any Aliases?" Aizawa asked, receiving a shake from Izuku. He did have one, but he preferred that it wasn't well known. "Nationality?"

"Uh...Japan," Izuku responded, a bit confused. He knew his mother was japanese, but his father was a complete mystery to him.

"Alright...Student ID...Sex, School...do you have a phone number?" Aizawa asked, as Izuku quickly whipped out his phone, going to contacts.

"Uh, this," Izuku showed Aizawa, who pasted it onto the box required.

"Hmm...you obviously don't know your Social Security..." Aizawa said, scratching her neck slightly. "Well, I think that's all. Give me a couple of minutes Izu." Izuku did so, staying in his seat as Aizawa left the room.

In reality, Izuku had no idea why he was being Interviewed at UA. He obviously wasn't being enrolled, he was far too young. He especially was confused as to why Eraserhead was interviewing him. She manages the hero course, and there's no way that he's going in that. He is a guy after all.

"Hello Izuku!" A short and serious voice made itself evident, as Izuku broke out of his cycle of thought again. As he turned, he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Principal Nezu?" Izuku asked, even more confused. He was pretty famous, as not only was he a guy with a quirk, but also an animal with one. While the second one wasn't unheard of, the combo of the two was impossible to find anywhere else.

"Yes. It's a shame we haven't met before this, especially with my contact with your mother. However, I've heard much about you from her and other heroes you've met," Nezu started, hopping onto the chair opposite Izuku.

"Uh...What did you hear exactly?" Izuku asked, getting a bit nervous. He didn't know why, but Nezu, despite being adorable, always had the aura of terror around him.
