Once upon a time, there lived the worst tyrant ever. His kingdom, Xenos, survived through many battles while winning most of them. Some said that this was why the king was so arrogant, others believed that he was just born a villain. He was called by many names, but his people were too afraid of his wrath, hence they simply referred to him as 'King Leam' while roaming the streets, keeping disrespectful nicknames for less crowded places. When it was publicly announced that his wife was pregnant, many wished for the baby to die, as they didn't want to see the birth of another cruel ruler.
But the child was born a girl. The king was way too close-minded to allow a woman to be his heir. That is why he was greatly disappointed. Even more when his second child, which he didn't expect to have at all, was a boy. The problem here was that his mother was just a slave. King Leam couldn't afford to tarnish his reputation because of some bastard illegitimate offspring son of his. As such, he 'disposed' of the slave and threw the boy in a river. But the goddess of the kingdom, Fate, refused to abandon that poor child and decided to make him her apostle. He survived, thanks to the deity's help, and along with sealed powers, he grew up happily in a remote and poor village without knowing that the king's blood ran through his veins.
Meanwhile, Leam's daughter, Julia, grew up seeing her father's disgusted and disgusting face everyday. The only one that gave her the love she deserved, her mother, died from poisoning when she was six years old. That day, she was so heartbroken that she cried until she couldn't see anything. When her personal maid feigned to be worried, she muttered: 'I have no way, and therefore want no eyes'. Not long after, she promised herself that she won't ever show emotions like this again. She would instead keep that raging storm inside her heart and use it wisely when she needed it. Julia also decided to give up on trying to please her father. 'From now on, and until the day I die, I will live for myself.' After that, every time she heard her father cursing her, saying that his second child should have been the legitimate one and that she should have never been born, she gathered her pain and kept it carefully in the deepest and darkest parts of her heart. She couldn't help but hate that little brother of hers that she never saw. She didn't even know his name.
Ten years later, Romeus, a young man that came from this particular countryside small town, started to work at the capital of Xenos. He ran errands for everyone willing to pay him. He truly had a big heart, as he preferred to help poor innkeepers rather than wealthy merchants, even though he earned less money. This was the path he chose. One day, as he was unusually delivering something to the palace, he sneaked a peek at this royal castle. As he was about to stop watching this magnificent building, he perceived the silhouette of a young lady. Even from this far, she looked as gorgeous as a delicate flower, yet she was as cold as beautiful. Romeus felt as if he was struck by lightning. His eyes were wide open and couldn't leave her, his heart began beating faster and faster, and a slight shade of pink found the way up to his face. However, he was busy and found himself unable to stare any longer. But that day, a thought planted its roots deep in his mind: 'I will definitely meet her again.'
Julia felt uneasy. She didn't like peasants staring at her like that. She now was old enough to be married away. Most women wouldn't want this, but she was not the same. She dreamed of leaving that blasted castle. She didn't want to see her father's face any longer. And as she thought about it, she just happened to have the perfect opportunity to do as she pleased... She left the palace in a cloak at night and went down to town, seeking the man that probably fell for her earlier. 'Men are so predictable...' She sighed. She found him soon enough in a poor looking inn and sat two tables away from him as she pretended to watch the scenery from the window. Surely, Romeo noticed her and immediately thought 'Oh that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!' He gathered his courage and went towards her like a brave soldier going to war. And that was the beginning of their love story...
Two years later, during lunch, the king noticed that his daughter seemed different from usual. He urged her conference, however, nothing but courtesy left her mouth. Losing composure, Leam said 'Nothing will come of nothing: speak again.' Julia then proceeded to tell him about her lover and how they wanted to marry each other. The king was stunned and immediately required to meet the man. But when he saw him the next day, he burst out half laughing, half crying. 'This is my illegitimate son! Don't you two know that you both have my blood running through your veins? The worst is not so long as we can say 'This is the worst'' Knowing the truth, Julia shut herself in her room while Romeus ran away...
No more, no less, three months later, king Leam died from poisoning. Julia indeed put the deadliest poison in his drink. At the same moment, Romeus forced the gates with a whole army of peasants in the name of rebellion, screaming at the top of his lungs: 'Now gods, stand up for bastards!' He spread his story and managed to recruit quite a lot of people to finally stop the tyranny of the king. He finally awakened the powers of the goddess, which greatly helped during the harsh battles that followed. But ultimately, he was injured, and Julia was caught in a friendly fire. He gave his last breath while using what was left of his powers to save her...
Julia was delighted. Of course she couldn't show this to the others. She made sure to cry a lot at the "sorrowful death of her loved one". Truly, she never felt so happy in her life. During the same day, the two men she resented the most died thanks to her. She managed to fool everyone and seized the throne for herself. She became the first queen of Xenos and ruled over the land until she died of old age. In the end, the truth behind this story was carried and well kept in her grave...
